Both are made in China
ОтветитьSir why did you make this video? Your presentation is just horrible. Well intended but horrible. You didn't mention the 3 qualities a fire stick ought to have. U used your phone as a timer next to the fire and almost burnt it. I would not listen to any survival tips least I end up as the fire stick your friend let in the 🔥. Buy a house and get a job there are no Zombies coming.
Ответитьpull the rod instead of pushing the scraper.
Ответитьthanks, this answered my question well...God bless...doug (central Canada)
ОтветитьThis is unfair, you have used half of light my fire fire steel against full Chinese fire steel
ОтветитьThe ancient DBK
EDIT: Holy crap this got a like from DBK
Awesome video!
ОтветитьGood review, thanks for posting! 😀
ОтветитьI buy a brand not buy a stuff 🤣
ОтветитьBan assault rifles in America.I wonder how many billion Ak47s China made. They must be all faulty, awesome American idiots.Dutchy love the channel.Martin where is Micky?.
ОтветитьKeep in mind that swedish stuff is not so «expensive» in Norway and sweden. And its more expensive to make things in the nordic countries. Hultafors or gransfors axes that everyone says is so expensive, not worth it etc. Well i can get a Hultafors classic 65cm or gransfors forest axe for 80$.. wich is the same as you buying a 60$ axe, cus of higher $ per hour in the nordic countries. That lmf fire steel costs 13$ here.. when i worked at a post office as a teenager i got 25$ per hour and 33$ at weekends. I got a chinese firesteel that throws nice sparks but with alot of effort.. while lmf is more smoother and throws good sparks at low pressure also.
ОтветитьEuropean rivalry? Just kidding. I do think the Chinese firesteel will not last as long
ОтветитьThings made in China may be cheap in price because the labor is cheap it doesn't mean the quality is cheap. They have been working with steel for thousands of years so obviously they must know a thing or two here or there. Just remember that fancy computer you're on is probably made in China and so is almost everything we use these days. I just found a good deal on Amazon for $12 CAD two 1/2" x 5" ferrocerium rods, should arrive this week, got my fingers (and tinder) crossed.
Ответитьits ugly
ОтветитьI've been using basically only Chinese firesteels. First one I bought was the cheapest I could find on eBay, for less than a dollar, very small, but I got to learn how to use it to make a fire. Then I started buying bigger ones, and I even have some 1/2" x 5" rods that work just great. And they're all chinese, never had a single problem with them
Ответитьmagnesium helps to start the fire the rod is made out of Ferrocitium, if that's spelt wrong correct me. It's a Ferro rod and some like my Doan have magnesium blocks attached. But the firesteel is made from Ferrocitium.
ОтветитьI'm just sitting back with a hot drink while people argue about fire steels in the comment section lol :D
ОтветитьAnother great no bullshit review. Thank you!
ОтветитьIll stick with a real überleben Zünden Fire Starter, not one of these Chinese copies. Who knows what foul chemicals they use over there.
ОтветитьTrump is gonna be very angry about it
ОтветитьThis is boor test 👎🏻
ОтветитьDose IBDK stand for I Don't Be Knowing
ОтветитьSounds like a jungle with all the bird sounds. Man that's nice.
ОтветитьWow your videos have come a long way.
ОтветитьI am watching these guys instead of tv now, more entertaining. Thank you for filling the void in my life until The Expanse returns!
ОтветитьBiased from the start, I see. But I agree with you though.
Ответитьyou dont know a teknik to make a fire!!!
ОтветитьOu alors un briquet 🤔
ОтветитьNICE HAIR FROM 4 YEARS AGO LMAO lololololololololololol sorry im drinking a lot at home
ОтветитьSofter rods seem better than hard ones.🤣🤣
ОтветитьI tested many and they are all much of a muchness
ОтветитьPlease don't tell me Moras are really made in China too😓
ОтветитьOoooops, I have ordered a light my fire and it is on the way now. Shouldn't have seen this video. :)
Thank you for the easy and intuitive comparison.
Mickey is racist
ОтветитьThe $3.39 fire steel that became $14.99 once DBK was put on the handle.
ОтветитьAs far as I know only two factories (countries) make the actual fire steels being China and Austria. You pay for the brand name on the handle.
ОтветитьHello Maarten, the rounded part at the end of the striker on the chinese model should be used to gently scrape some magnesium off the rod before actually striking. These little particles of magnesium now on your tinder will give it a littke boost to pick up faster, especially if the tinder is somewhat humid.
Great review, continue your great work.
In my opinion...I would make that striker double as a scraper for making fire starter..what u need ruler for ???.instead of bottle opener !!!
ОтветитьI feel like it's so tricky to find a good ferro rod. I thought light my fire was supposed to be one of the best, it's usually towards the top of "top ten" lists online, but here it is getting beat by some unknown brand fire steel
ОтветитьI have a Kershaw fire steel. IT SUCKS!!! Never once started a fire... I use the fire steel in my Moraknive. IMHO
ОтветитьThe good old times :)
ОтветитьVery good video thanks for sharing
ОтветитьAnd just where is Light my Fire Ferro Rods made ?
China you idiot
All Ferro Rods are made in China
Wow! You guys have come a long way.
ОтветитьI like the bayite Ferro rod 1/2" x 6". Great review ill check them out
ОтветитьDamn !!! That fùćking hair !!! 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьGreat video and great demonstration
ОтветитьI paid over $100 for a matching desert ironwood burl firesteel from Bark River for my Bravo. I never use it.
ОтветитьChinese Firesteel vs... chinese firesteel.
ОтветитьCheers good video Maarten. Was this before Mikkie joined you?
