ОтветитьI loved the rabbit
ОтветитьExcellent tips and information. Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks! I appreciate it very much. I wasn’t sure what you were calling the pencil that you used to really darken the picture.
ОтветитьVery helpful ❤️😊👍
ОтветитьGreat video Gemma. Thanks for the tips
ОтветитьThank you for this, Gemma. I wonder if you'd come across good books on drawing still life. Everyone seems to love drawing people and pets, so not that much info on books dealing with still life.
ОтветитьYou can always use a doll/action figure as a reference item.
ОтветитьWhere is the pixel bay link in the description?
ОтветитьThank you! But I still like the bunny draw, though! no matter the low contrast. Beautiful skills
ОтветитьVery useful tips for me. Thankyou for this informative insight.
ОтветитьHi Gemma! First video I viewed, well done! You’re so authentic and your tips and examples so helpful. Subscribed!
ОтветитьThank You for the video. My choice of transferring the image is a proportion divider. It helps to establish free hand as you correct and check your sketch.
ОтветитьThis is great advice! Thank you! How long does your average graphite drawing take you?
ОтветитьVery helpful tutorial video thank you
ОтветитьSo glad I found you Gemma.
ОтветитьHi Gemma, I've done a drawing and the stubble on the guy's chin is highlighted. I need to make white dots one 8B pencil. any ideas what I can use? Tried Conté, charcoal pencil... no luck.
ОтветитьOutstanding video! I am a beginner just now learning the effects of shading and how to make a drawing "pop". The rabbit example was insightful. I have now learned to look at my subject in grey scale values. This has helped me with landscapes. I now look at any subject and break down the shapes and grey scales next. It helps to get contrast in my drawings and make them "pop"!

ОтветитьKeep drawing every day, is what will improve your drawing skill faster! If you keep loving drawing/sketching, using pencils, what now looks like a great drawing, after some months will look so poor and thta, will happen again and again and you will always be surprised! For example, the drawings I was proud of last year and I showed to people, now look so poor, that I can't even show them to the public! After 1 and a half year only, that happened to me 3 times! You can't imagine how good you can become. Just keep reading, watching videos and practice, practice practice. Do not be afraid to do a bad drawing, if you don't make mistakes, you will not improve! Do not choose the "perfect" image to draw, draw whatever you see in your enviroment, or use Google to find Pinterest! You can find thousands of great drawings, sketches or photos in there!!
ОтветитьThank you that was probably the best tips i have heard from anywhere bc i learned all that by trial and error over the course of about a year maybe and you just summed it up in a few mins but its all very true what you stated thanks
ОтветитьWhat paper are you using? Smooth? Vellum? Cold Pressed? Hot Pressed?
ОтветитьThis exactly what I needed to learn. Great help!
ОтветитьPersonally, shading looks mushy and kind of lifeless. Without shading it has got the character of graphite pencils and they look more pleasing to eye - at least my eye.
ОтветитьYou are so beautiful! Also thank you for the tips!
ОтветитьBrilliant. The last tip is the telling one…👍
Ответитьhi Gemma what type of paper quality are you using for this work?. thanks
ОтветитьAnother tip is to from time to time during the process prop your drawing up and look at it from 4 or 5 feet away. Most art is viewed from a distance.
