Fuck this is garbage. Like no skill at all. Just talking to a beat. Then screaming nonsense into the air. Fuuuuuuucking trash.
ОтветитьFun fact: To count even a million dollars worth of nickels and dimes once, would take 173 days.
To do it a million times, would take 475,405 years.
Minnie has way too much time on her hands...
Saint James Infirmary Blues.

ОтветитьFolks, here's a story 'bout Minnie the Moocher
She was a red hot hoochie-coocher
She was the roughest, toughest frail
But Minnie had a heart as big as a whale
Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi (hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi)
Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho (ho-ho-ho-ho-ho)
Hee-de-hee-de-hee-de-hee (hee-de-hee-de-hee-de-hee)
Hey-ey-ey (hey-ey-ey)
She messed around with a bloke named Smokey
She loved him though he was kokey
He took her down to Chinatown
And he showed her how to kick the gong around
Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi (hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi)
Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho (ho-ho-ho-ho-ho)
Hey-ey-ey (hey-ey-ey)
Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho (ho-ho-ho-ho-ho)
She had a dream about the king of Sweden
He gave her things, that she was needin'
He gave her a home built of gold and steel
A diamond car, with the platinum wheels
Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi (hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi)
Ho-di-ho-di-ho-di-oh (ho-di-ho-di-ho-di-oh)
Skip-a-bibby-goop-a-bibby-give-a-bibby, bubly-bop
(Skip-a-bibby-goop-a-bibby-give-a-bibby, bubly-bop)
Ah-brr-iggy, brr-iggy, brr-iggy, haw (ah-brr-iggy, brr-iggy, brr-iggy, haw)
He gave her his townhouse and his racing horses
Each meal she ate was a dozen courses
She had a million dollars worth of nickels and dimes
She sat around and counted them all a million times
Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi (hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi)
Oooh (ooh)
Hey-ey-ey (hey-ey-ey)
Oh-oh, oh-oh (oh-oh, oh-oh)
Poor Min, poor Min, poor Min

ОтветитьCurtis, I don't want to listen to no jive-ass preacher talking to me about Heaven and Hell
ОтветитьYeah, sorry but I just don't get the appeal. I'm 45, seen this many times in my life and just always thought 'who listens to this mess?'
ОтветитьMinnie downloaded this song.

ОтветитьThe thumbnail didn't lie!

ОтветитьI didn't learn about the Cab until around he died, when I first saw the Blues Brothers movie on a VHS, that my dad got. He was a superb showman.

Ответитьhey....he didnt do ts in the blues brothers

ОтветитьI knew King Dice was based on him but after watching this video, that's literally him!! The clothes, the dance and everything. Genius! 😭😭
ОтветитьMy late father (1915-2001) was a semi-professional jazz musician from the pre-war era - swing was his real thing. He was a wholesale tobacconist by trade, ex-RAFVR pilot (1938-45) and later a hotelier. I was born in 1956 and listened to all sorts of music growing up, but had a special love for my father's old 78s from the 30s. Yes, I saw Cab in "The Blues Brothers", but had been totally blown away by some video recording my father showed me of the Master in a white suit from the 30s. He was wild. Both of us were literally rolling about laughing in admiration. My father hinted at drugs. I naively thought drugs were a 60s and 70s thing.... Cab was a fantastic entertainer - genius? Nobody else like him!
ОтветитьBig as a whale
ОтветитьI listed to the comedy in his recordings but had no idea he was also so visually aware too. Amazing!
ОтветитьI suddenly have an urge to eat a 💍 shaped potato based snack
ОтветитьIs the voodoo man in princess & the frog, cab Galloway
ОтветитьYou know what's wrong with today's music? All the popular artists want to look cool instead of just... going for it.
ОтветитьHe looks like a closet gay
