Just FYI, it can search inside file contents, in 'Advanced Search', under 'A word or Phrase in the File'

Wow, I have just learned how to use Everything. I have used it for 20 years as a software engineer, but I never used any of its capabilities. I only typed part of the name and found the file, then went to the location and copied the file from the folder. I could have saved hours of time over 20 years! Thanks! Awesome video! Best regards.

Sir how to search for multiple files in this app . like for instant i have a list of pdfs with different file names that i have entered in a coloum in an xls file and now i want to find all the files names

Hello, is there a way to browse in and out of folders exclusively inside Everything software ambient ? (If I double click a folder in Everything in order to access it, a windows explorer folder with that path just pops up instead. I'd rather stay inside Everything, is this possible ? Thanks

Hi Dr Nitin, thanks so much for your very informative video. Recently I found an old hard drive which I attached to my computer. I couldn't get "Everything" to search the drive! The solution was that the drive was FAT32 and I had to reformat to NTFS before it worked. FYI

How can we index file content (documents) like Windows Indexing does?

How can I search a folder with Everything without having to enter the full path into the search bar manually. ie C:\users\xxchr\desktop\music sort\. is there a way to find the folder in Explorer and copy the path into Everything??

how do you get the program to show the colorful buttons menu?

I too love this search tool, but I think there has been a change in the Options that I hadn't noticed until recently. It seems that at one time it defaulted to ignoring case unless it was set to match case. Now I can't figure out how to get it to ignore case. Any help?

It is a great app, but I put too much on my new 2 gig drive to reformat now. I will still use it when I can.
EDIT I used your tip below and found the other way to add folders. Works great as usual.

How can I use wildcard search with a folder name? "folderkeyword\ filekeyword" only works if the whole word is in the filename, but "parti*\ filekeyword" doesn't find anything in folders named like "partial"

Dr. Nitin please help me. I have a 2 terrabyte hard drive connected to my computer which has about 200,000 mp3 files. I downloaded Everything and set it to search the drive but the problem is how can I search album artists? When I search for an artist only the name comes up in the actual mp3 title and does not show results for album artist. I've tried everything and can't figure this out. Please help
