Finally Darcy has overcome his pride completely... Excellent to see him exit the room gracefully , thankfully leaving behind the company of bitching Caroline
ОтветитьPoor Miss Bingley has all along been using the wrong strategy to impress Darcy. Her every attempt backfired spectacularly.
ОтветитьAm falling in love with Collin as Mr. Darcy...
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the melody that Georgiana was playing?
ОтветитьMr. Hurst is the real star of this scene!
ОтветитьWOT
ОтветитьYes they pine for each other 😥💕
ОтветитьLiterally my favorite scene of the whole show😂 he’s always so guarded and deliberate, I love how Eliza can completely throw him off
ОтветитьAwww the way he said "what!" It was more of a direct statement then a question. He was so guilty over Lizzy that hearing her name made him flustered. If only men today had such loyal hearts and caring minds like Darcy.
ОтветитьDarcy: NO ONE LIKES YOU CAROLINE!
Now of you'll excuse me I have to go, now. To and unrelated place and do an unrelated thing and possibly Kill Wickham
Her put-downs always backfire with Darcy.
ОтветитьSmashing pair of headphones Miss Hennessey is wearing. Probably listening to some Electronic to sooth her nerves.
ОтветитьI just noticed Bingley at the end of the scene looking at Darcy then Caroline like “wtf did you say this time?”
ОтветитьSomeone (I think on Tumblr) pointed out that, for people of that rank in that time, “what” was considered very rude. If they wanted you to repeat yourself, they’d say “pardon” or something similar. The fact that he says “what” indicates that he heard her perfectly and didn’t like it.
ОтветитьSaying such a direct statement at the time was seen as ungentlemanly and abusive, the equivalent of a c-bomb now.
ОтветитьAmazing scene. It has all the hallmarks of earlier ones not least Mr Hurst in a corner, and up to this point everything has been stiflingly polite and passive aggressive - and then he just goes “WHAT” with the dirtiest look. Oh the depth of contempt in it. Beautiful.
