I disagree with ur assessment. Modi is two full term prime minister. He is going to be 3rd term prime minister..in complex country like India he would be 1st pm after Nehru to have 3 consecutive terms . He fall short of majority by mere 32 seats in 543 seats. Indira is her 3rd election was reduced to 150 seats from 350 ..Sonia to 44 from 206...imran never had full majority..he had collation. So plz analyse in deeper sense with detailed analysis..u can say modi brand declined but what Modi got in 3rd term is what ik got in 1st.

I think a few main point you missed in your analysts.
1- Modi has not been voted by the poor class of India this time. Though, India has GDP rare o 8.2% this year but the un-employment with India is also very high. Poverty is very high.

2- Modi is conceived as very close friend of rich class of India.People like Amani and Adani are close to Modi.Poor don’t like this relationship. Poor people also hate display of wealth by this high rich class and their huge spendings on marriages of their children.
3-Poor voter feel cheated by Modi as richer becoming more richer and poorer getting more poor.
4- It’s the revenge of poor that Modi lost seats this time due to all above discussed and absolutely not because that he’s a die hard Hindus and divided the India on religion. This later affect is just negligible in the voting of voters.
