INTRO
ОтветитьHi fam, the starting has “intro” text over it!! Is it a mistake?
ОтветитьFyre festival vibe 😂
Ответитьthe problem is kpop.
ОтветитьAlgoooooooooo
ОтветитьThank you Daily ketchup for making an episode to bring awareness to this disaster of an event. I was one of the fans at the event that had trouble with the security checks.
My prescription medication for my medical condition were confiscated, my lightstick was almost not allowed even though it was clearly stated that it was. Truly nonsensical.
If there’s a tree in a bare land better not hide under it … the lightning is more likely to strike the tree than you cause it’s much taller
Ответитьhey btw ubz is damn funny and fun to listen to XD see if she wants to come on more episodes?
Ответитьjohn nv go sch sia, we were always taught to NOT stay under a tree in lighting storm. Open is better
Ответитьthat INTRO placeholder at the beginning is so relatable pls. thanks for making us editors feel seen.
Ответить1) I don't know is it just me but I feel that the security checks for events held at Sentosa are super aggressive. Attended Zoukout in 2022 and 2023, basically also sounds like the same as Yuewen's security check. I understand that they want to check for prohibited items like vapes or drugs etc but sometimes it is super aggressive especially the pat down. For those who bring bag or not, everything out on the tray while you are being scanned with a metal detector (Head to Toe) followed by a very thorough pat down. As for the inhaler or one comment on Tiktok about bringing prescribed medication I feel the security team should at least have a basic understanding of the NEED of those medical aids. If in doubt refer them to a supervisor on standby for clearance would also be better than just forcing them to discard.
2) Attended a few outdoor events throughout the years. What i can say is that so far all have very bad wet weather planning. I was soaked on F1's day 1 when it started pouring heavily during One Republic's concert. There was no area to take shelter in and the crowd was ushered to continue moving towards City Hall or Esplanade. (The link between Esplanade to City Hall was of course barricaded for attendees of F1) hence that is why i said we couldn't even take shelter there and was ushered to move along. As for music festivals in Sentosa, there is totally no shelter, looking at Yuewen's venue, it is exactly the same place where Zoukout usually takes place. Basically the Pavilion is used for security checks/entrance to the festival hence people can't seek shelter there. Once you are out of the venue, obviously there is no shelter all the way until beach station. I see some people take shelter at 7-11, Tipsy unicorn entrance, one public toilet otw and a few other small shelters but those places can only hold so much people. So always bring a poncho at least especially for events happening during rainy season. Then again from an organizer's POV, erecting shelter for wet weather might just be additional cost so why will they even bother.
3) Totally laughed when the girl said literally ads were being played at the "music festival". Can't imagine how much of a mood killer it was in between sets. First time i heard of this and although advertisements is for the sponsors, there are definitely better ways to do it compared to other festivals.
I also wonder why it is so strict? was there a prior threat issued by an anonymous party to the event to caused mischief/terrorism? If yes perhaps the organizer should have gotten the police/army to help out or provide armed sentries during the event.
ОтветитьI was there for WWWY'22 as well and the insecurity was that it was the first major emo festival after COVID and the lineup was 'too good to be true', VTL flights to USA weren't announced yet, and after Fyre Fest everybody thought that it was a scam. My friends and I YOLOed on the tickets thinking that LiveNation should be reliable and thank goodness also got the 2nd day tickets. Still the best festival memory I made though! The strong winds made for cool weather and it was super pleasant.
Ответитьnot the watch sesame street in btw ....
WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
goes to show our era.
heh
but I get it.
Commenting for the algo, great job on covering this and all the best for the new year ahead!
ОтветитьWAIT WHAT IS BAIJUI FESTIVAL? I WANT!
ОтветитьChina company organizing such event and they are oblivious to our protocol..
Check bra stripe mental part… wtf.. next time ask the guys to remove their pants or shorts then
Love the COVID insight. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьWas here to listen to horror stories of the Yuewen festival but ended up enjoying Kent's stories of being an event planner in Singapore. Glad to have ppl like him who are passionate about supporting local arts and culture. Hope he can continue his passion of event planning, jiayou!
ОтветитьIt was fortunate that there was no food poisoning for the first Art Box (or not that I am aware of) and Ken got away with just a fine.
ОтветитьMORE OF UBZ PLS!! Shes very fun to listen to
Ответить500 big!!!! More of her please
Ответитьfr dafaq u know when I was entering on day 1 the aunty put her hands on me n went ard my ⚪️⚪️ n put the scanner right on my ass bruh
ОтветитьDidnt even need to watch the video immediately... LIKE!
ОтветитьI used to be bouncer/security and i have bouncer/security friends whom are in overseas, some overseas club/events do inform that inhaler not allow due to the content is not medicine but drug content in it. Singapore wise i never had management informed us to remove inhaler but vape yes. There's SOPs to follow with from SPF for Singapore Security law act, but then it shouldnt be like this..
ОтветитьHiding under a tree is a definite no-no!
ОтветитьOur editor just REALLY wanted y'all to know that THAT was the INTRO ;)
