It used to be a good place to live now it’s filled with people that can’t fuckin drive and people from California

Love the video! We are contemplating moving from Austin to Weatherford/Aledo area because of several friends living in the area as well as TCU football that we currently drive up for in the fall. We have lived in Texas for more than 30 years (Plano to Austin) and love it! We have visited Mesquite Pit and it is excellent and the people are so nice. Our Austin house is Southwest side and we have a greenbelt view ,which a view and trees will be a high priority on our list if we move. Our house is not sale ready but maybe in about 6 to 9 months we can pull the trigger and make the move. We have actually rented a VRBO in the area to really check out Weatherford in a few weeks.

Weatherford can get extremely hot and cold, please keep that in mind. I have been living there for my entire life and whilst it seems cool, it does get really insane with the heat, like at least 100F a day during the summer time. And to my gay fellas, watch out, homophobes roam the place. But I recommend the once water filled lake trail, good spot for photography, of course when it ain't 100F out. Water is a must here, and cooling is a major limitation. Excuse the random name since I'm commenting anonymously.
Followup, watch out for "The Lilly Pad" their food quality is atrocious. Fun fact: it was a run down gas station (shell) until around 2023.Followup 2: want ice cream? Visit Dulce Panda, the best you'll get that isn't home made. Made on site, I recommend the Cookie Smash, and Vanilla Beanz.
