During the intro when you mentioned "wet clutch" I literally said out loud "oh nooo" and then you mentioned the transmission issues to come and I had a good laugh LOL. Hyundai has had wet clutch transmission issues dating back to 2016. I guess they haven't ironed out all the problems yet. Shame, because this new Santa Fe looks amazing inside and out. I love how flat all the seats fold! That is a rarity these days.

The Hybrid option is the way to go with this car, lease don’t buy. Avoid the DCT transmission at all cost.

3rd row seats should be completely (and easily) removable to expose a full length flat floor large cargo area
MM, wish would talk a bit about driving position ergonomics and visibility
From being a forum member, we noticed H has a few issues with all new models, issues ranging from faulty (costly) injectors on turbo engines, to troubled transmissions that may or may not have a real fix. Engines overall seem better done on their more expensive models - while models such as Elantra may still be troubled in the engine department. Too bad this company finds it acceptable to rush in production complex new transmissions. The least reliable long term models are the hybrids while their EV have been troubled by strange issues, including the braking system. Generally speaking H warranty is very good but their repair time is usually long, due to their overload with faulty GDI engines.

Let's not over sell, with fancy words.
Is it pee or mineral water?😮😂

I have a new 2024 xrt. Only had it for a week before I started having problems. It’s in the shop already! 😢 It may be the transmission. Definitely wish I had seen this prior to buying it.

I bought a limited. Now I worry every day when my wife will call and say the transmission went out. Ist time it goes out I will trade it in. Love the SUV but stress over the DCT. Spend $50 grand and worry when the DCT is going to go out. Thanks Hyundai. DCT is not a 100.000 transmission. At $8000 way too much money to replace. They are praising that they had it for a week and say no problem with DCT. Come on. I bought it because I like bench seats on 2nd row.

Thank you all for a very nice review! Also, thank you for telling your viewers what I have said all along about the Car Confection Santa Fe transmission failure and buy back. There is something else wrong (software problem / control module problem or some other mechanical issue that is causing both transmissions to fail. I had the wet dual clutch in me Santa Cruz and it was perfection.

I don't know what to think about the exterior yet. I guess sometimes manufacturers have to take a risk with design -sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss. Maybe I'm thinking the old Pontiac Aztec 🤮

Seen one on the road few days ago... as always, I personally hate low tail lights, most of the times I can't see it, can't see the turn signal, etc... that is what I think.
Also... wish vehicle had a larger wheel or design proportion that made it look larger... as of this design... wheels look small compare to vehicle body size.
Overall... I PERSONALLY though it did not look as good as from videos & photos. I do love the center console spacing... especially getting rid of gear selector to elsewhere... it's all electronic anyways. Move it away to and make a large open area like this one.

I like the transmission and how it performs, but there have been problems. I have a 2021 Sorento SX with identical transmission and engine. At about 30,000 miles I started to get some juddering in reverse gear. Took it in to the dealer and they informed me the transmission had to be replaced. Took about a week. The dealer and Kia did a good job taking care of the problem. I now have 52,000 miles and no problems. I just returned to Ohio from a west coast trip where I drove 6800 miles in 30 days and the car ran flawlessly. Traveled 75 to 80 mph for 9 hours a day over several days. Average mileage was 25 mpg and I did the calculations.

I really like that they are willing to try different designs and styles. Unfortunately, I haven't liked their latest attempts. This Santa Fe looks ok from the front, but the "H" lights front and back look like 16-bit dog bones to me, and the rear end looks like a giant Frankenstein forehead. The interior looks nice, though.

I wouldn't buy one again! I had a SantaFe. Great car until I began having rear light issues. My biggest issue was I could not get it in for service! I went elsewhere for oil changes because they could not get it for 2 1/2 months!! You need your brake lights!!!
Also insurance Co would not insure it due to theft issues.
I sold and bought a Toyota. Really too bad because I was going to buy a brand new Santa FE!!

I bought a brand new Santa Fe Hybrid Luxury in 2023 and my experience so far has been a nightmare to say the least. NEVER EVER buy a Hyundai product or else you will be LEFT FOR DEAD just like me. The vehicle has major safety issues (e.g.: vehicle failing to slow down/ stop on cruise control), providing photo & video evidence to prove the issue was not enough for Hyundai Canada to take immediate action and instead I have been left to battle this by sending it for a million diagnostics tests. Finally, I had no option but to take them to court. The judgement is coming soon but it is shocking that a manufacturer (& Transport Canada) would allow this to happen. This could have easily become a criminal case if an accident would have occurred and then I would have been blamed for it when it is truly a technical snag. If you buy their product, your safety and that of the public will be at risk and Hyundai would only be silent spectators! SHAME ON HYUNDAI FOR DOING THIS TO CUSTOMERS WHO BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.
