The Glaze Lily here is most likely a wild flower -- if not, a very rare one. It's watching over the harbor alone too.

There is a book called Customs of Liyue: Glaze Lily. This has the most info about their relationship but sadly it was removed in the beta due to various reasons (fangirls don't like the idea of Zhongli having a romantic relationship with someone)
Is is said that Glaze Lily was born because of Guizhong's prank to Zhongli. She cover's Zhongli's eyes and flower seeds fell from her sleeves. Their mutual laughter created the blue white flower, symbolizing their relationship.
They spend most of their time strolling around flower fields while Zhongli listening to Guizhong's happy speech about humanity and then he realizes the fragility and their pain but also their delights. This might be the reason why he likes to stroll and adores humans.
When Guizhong died due to unknown reasons. Before she died, she wore a sad smile and she left him a final riddle (might be the Memory of Dust but it seems they change the story); "People say that the wisdom of dust can soften a heart of stone, even if it takes a thousand years". Her body dissolves into the finest dust and so the last glaze lily residing in Guili Plains withered away to dust.
It was rumored after long year of waiting and finally achieve peace throughout the lands, Zhongli would plant her favorite flower across Liyue again. Quite few only born but in hundred years, Glaze Lilies will finally have a place to reside peacefully.
Honestly their story is the best so far. Mihoyo shouldn't removed it just for the sake of their "fans"
