Wales should have kept George conditioned to remain a winger. Truly devastating and superb handling skills and tackling. He wanted to play and popped up everywhere
ОтветитьWhat a player. For a period he was literally unstoppable and could break the game single handedly. Absolutely petrifying seeing him get it in any space whatsoever as an England fan. All timer.
Ответитьthat tackle on farrel!!!!!
ОтветитьAlways loved North as a player. Absolutely gutted he is retiring- I always assumed we were witnessing a 150+ cap player and a guaranteed Welsh scoring record. Moreover, him getting to the end just rubs in that I am pushing into middle age now 😆
I will always remember fondly that 2013 Lions series and have a huge respect for the Wales side he was a part of.
All best wishes in (Test) retirement to the lad from a long-suffering Scotland fan.
Goat
ОтветитьLegend of the game, hope he finds a new phase of life that suits him.
ОтветитьThank you George North - a fine example for your Country and for the sport of Rugby.
ОтветитьQ:So, would you like North to play at 11, 12, 13 or 14?
A: Yes.
Wales's finest Englishman
ОтветитьRoberts/North is one of my favourite centre/wing partnerships. Such a physically threatening partnership
ОтветитьHe was ok but not outstanding!
ОтветитьHoping there will be a club rugby highlights video as well. First one that springs to mind is a try for northampton, scored by Rory Hutchinson, made by North direct from kick off. He just ran rings around the entire exeter side. World class!
ОтветитьProbably one of the best examples of the "perfect winger"....agile and fast (like all wingers should be), strong as a flanker, tremendous tackler, could catch a high ball like no-one else and could actually kick. Ôo
Ответитьwhat a player
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks!
ОтветитьSeems like a quality bloke as well as being a quality player. What a career.
ОтветитьGreat player, great servant to welsh rugby.... but with all due respect, probably a good ten, fifteen welsh players I'd pick ahead of him as the 'GOAT'
ОтветитьHe’s going to be missed!
Ответитьthat assist vs Ireland is what I will always remember North for - went through D'Arcy like he was an amateur then gave that offload, I remember thinking 'who is this mutant?'
ОтветитьGreat player. Always a joy to watch! From a Springbok fan!
ОтветитьAt his best he really was some player between 2010-2015. Took some nasty head blows which seemed to affect him, but whether he was playing well or not, always seemed to score try's. My favourite North moment was actually the assist against Ireland in 2012 when he flattens O'Driscoll then offloads to Foxy to run over
ОтветитьGrazie mille George ci hai regalato 14 anni di meraviglioso rugby!
ОтветитьMy all time favourite player, my hero growing up! What an international career!
ОтветитьGreat player
That 2011 World Cup sure was a missed opportunity
Not the goat or even our best winger, but what a brilliant player. A legitimate consideration for a world XV between 2011 and 2014 then transformed into a lions calibre centre (likely test 13 in 2021 if not for injury). Modern great
Ответитьteam wales
Ответитьgorge north retired this six nations wales didnt do that good but there a new team keep it up wales
Ответить“North is back with a vengeance” one of my favourite commentary lines especially with the aruption of the crowd in the background - gives me goosebumps. What a legend George is, he will be missed and always remembered
ОтветитьA winger who seems to naturally know which arm to hold the ball in, when to change arms (Lions vs Aus!) or when to keep it in two hands to pass. Cant think of any others as consistently on it in that way.
ОтветитьCan't help but feel like people forget his defensive positioning which has leaked in more than a few tries over the years. I feel like that cancelled out a lot of the 'brilliance' in this video to be honest. Anyways, people remember what they want to remember
ОтветитьThe only unfortunate thing about North’s career is that for the last few years he’s been playing international rugby in a pretty poor side which hasn’t allowed us to see him at his best.
ОтветитьI remember that Welsh back line from I say 2011 to 2014 and the size and power of it spearheaded by north it used to cause my Ireland team a lot of problems I remember cause they were all massive over 6 feet I think except halfpenny but could all play and were fast and north was the danger man
ОтветитьGreat video. So many brilliant moments. Thanks George 💙🏴👏🏼
ОтветитьRaw power
ОтветитьA Great player 👍💪from an lrish Fan.
ОтветитьFrom an Irish fan, he was a joy to watch in defence and attack. He was crucial to a great welsh team with halpenny jones warburton davies ect. Legend - thank you George!
ОтветитьHonestly with total Respect this Vid was 24mins too long
Apart from the Lions Tackle
Good days we need more players like George and team around him.
Probably be long time before we are back to this team. Looking at the unber 20s
In his pomp he was a true Prince of Wales.
ОтветитьOne of the best to ever wear the jersey
ОтветитьI Missed the voice of the eddie butler
ОтветитьGeorge North, the last Welsh rugby Jedi.
ОтветитьThere arent many teams that could get a 25 min highlight reel that good. An absolute legend.
ОтветитьWales rugby GOAT? Born in Norfolk mate, don’t get more English than that
ОтветитьShows he was a top player when you got a 25 minute video of you not one repeat 👍👍💯💯top guy as well
ОтветитьEngland fan here, George North will be sorely missed in the six nations. What a contribution he made for his country and the Lions 🦁
ОтветитьDiolch yn fawr George
ОтветитьChrist on a bike - I nearly had another heart attack watching this! What a great and well-rounded player George is! Thanks for this video, Andy - a fantastic half hour of one of our nation's finest players! His name will long be remembered when the Welsh rugby legends are talked about.
ОтветитьHe seems to love playing australia 😅
