While I believe in following your dreams and searching for adventure, I don't agree with putting your life or your family's life in danger. The world isn't a safe place. It's a jungle out there once you step outside your front door.

That second couple are a disgrace to think that they wouldn’t be missed. Wasting time and money looking for them and heartache for their loved ones.

I’m Peruvian American. I still use a guide to visit these terrains. I don’t know how anybody would go on their own with no camping or decernable skills. You read how locals still get lost. Poor family. It is the worst when their love one is lost in difficult terrain of another country. The cockiness I can’t forgive.

The second case …. Why didn’t the couple reach out to their families? That’s so sad to have your family worried sick about you … and you’re just living your life? Wow

People sould always let people know where you're going. Even itx too a restaurant with a friend. Anything can hapoen even a block from home. BE SAFE ADVENTURE SEEKERS

It was heartwarming to see happy endings to some of these stories. God bless the families of the still missing & dead, and may they find resolution and closure.

Neha died from severe hypothermia bc she got lost for leaving the trail, that was the autopsy result. She was uninjured. It's tragic when people go hiking alone and not properly equipped.

So many tourists travel to places without any information about the place they are going to. I have been talking with tourists that come to visit New Orleans and they don’t even know how dangerous the town is. So if you travel to Brazil you can have a very nice time if you get a responsible guide.

I will never go to these places alone, not even for $10,000,000. Soooo many things can happen.

The Bolivian mountains and forest are filled with mistery, even local people desapear, vanish! The natives usually don't go out when the sun ☀ goes down . There are many legends and people take precautions about the time, places and sacred places, including dogs or foxes 🦊 that it may turns into human form and they take your fat away with some needles and the person does not notice it at all , (the wondering person is called: Kharisiri and pishtaco is another entity ) . After that fat extraction, the person dies slowly.

Please don’t go to South America is very dangerous

If you're a father and you have two beautiful young daughters and a lovely wife that you adore, don't take them into the Amazon in a country known to be dangerous and full of crime. Don't take them into areas where the wildlife are known to kill people. Don't put them in excessive danger for some stupid thrill, or because you're high or whatever. The world thanks you for using your brain.

Lol a river trip down the Amazon is extremely dangerous! My friends the Hildebrands lost their son on a river trip down the Amazon, but he was an adult. Jeeze Louise. Taking small children down that river is insane.

Hire a guide for Pete’sake, no brains! Don’t leave the trail, don’t leave the group. Period.

Im an expat from Ecuador …the stories about missing, kidnapped , extorted and victimized /murdered in home invasions are unbelievable and little is reported concerning these crimes.

The second couple missing for three years didn’t care at all for their family. 🤬
