Dude, where I live, I see bald eagles all the time! I loose my mind too, every time. I was lucky enough to see one with my grandparents the other day. They also got a huge kick out of it!
ОтветитьMaybe you can put mailboxes here and there with gloves and other small things you need close by each area you work in.
ОтветитьThe Artichokes are majestic next to the carrots.
ОтветитьA colleague commented to me just the other day that only G-D is perfect
Ответить😂pull out seeds in public from my pocket 👋
ОтветитьThank you for the ginger growing tips! I’ve been trying to get mine to sprout in water with no luck, so I’m going to try putting it directly in my raised bed.
ОтветитьHere’s a question! Can you grow turmeric the same way you grow ginger?
ОтветитьI call these times my 10 minute jobs. Six 10 minute jobs are an hour of work.
ОтветитьRain graduation week!! SOOOOO much fun! We are trying to get ready for an OUTDOOR party on Friday. Of course we are forecast for rain all week.
ОтветитьI say often my garden is planned but chaotic. I make a plan at the beginning of the season. But if something doesn't do well or go as planned I throw more or something else there. My theory is survival of the fittest and something is better than nothing.
ОтветитьWhen I had littles, what helped me get things accomplished was to engage them and give them little tasks. Spray bottles are epic! Something about little kids and water. I could give them an area to water with a $ 2.00 spray bottle. This could easily give me an hour and day. Yes, sometimes they sprayed each other more, but ehh, it's just water. Also, when starting seeds, it makes them feel part of it all. Kids love to plant, too. And always remember something is better than nothing, and hour a day you can get a lot done and you aren't just growing food it's creating core memories and life skills.
ОтветитьThe seed thing makes me laugh because I come home daily with seed packs in my pockets
ОтветитьEvery-day-posting Jess has been so, so enjoyable!
ОтветитьOkay, so i tried to sprout some ginger in some shallow 1020 trays, but nothing happened. I put down a layer of soil, put them in then covere with aome more soil. I keep the soil moist. No clue what i did wrong.
ОтветитьGood 💛💛💛
ОтветитьYour videos are always so wonderful!
ОтветитьI love growing corn, if for no other reason that when as a kid I found out it was it a type of grass, I imagined giants walking through their corn lawns and us as the ants 😊
ОтветитьI can't tell you how many times I walked Folly for shark teeth, napped under the old pier in my hammock, or sat at Lost Dog sipping an iced caramel latte.
Everyone needs "forget it, let's go!" moments. Love to hear you have them too! 👏🏼
That is the most massive. I think I can say ugly beet. It looked like it came out of a horror movie! But congratulations you did a great job growing it! Glad I got to see it.
Ответитьthis rhythm and philosophy of gardening is bringing light to my soul❤
ОтветитьBahaha we were on our way out to get milk and slammed on the breaks to pick our wild dewberries that has JUST ripened! It's just too fun and adds adventure to life 😂🤪
ОтветитьYup totally relate to the lowering of the expectations and non ideal planting situations with a newborn! Does anyone have any advice to cats using the bathroom in gardens?? Took in some kittens last fall that we found and they’ve been outside cats. They are ruining all my areas to plant that I just created last year and all my original areas as well. Planning on finding new homes for the cats but don’t know how to recover all the amount of soil or it’s all a loss :(
ОтветитьJess are you all still using the water filter you had previously been selling in your store? I don't see a place to order them here and wondered if you were still using them, liking them and still selling them. If no longer using what filter do you have in your Berkey. Thanks
ОтветитьThat is exactly how it goes around here… me struggling to pull out a tree for several minutes and Jacob coming over and yanking it out of the ground with one hand lol
ОтветитьOur sea eagles and golden eagles take lambs here, last year one tried to take a dog. We've also had ravens kill lambs before they are even fully out of the birth canal. But I still love seeing the eagles 🏴
Ответить😂 just Mia for muscle.
ОтветитьGood advice : Take care of yourself because you can not take anyone else if you don't . ❤
ОтветитьThat beat it crazy!😊
ОтветитьTell me about it i always end up with peas in my handbag from sowing before I go out haha
ОтветитьI have 4, 5 and under, and my husband and I are determined to grow more food every year. We started 6 years ago and we have learned sooo much even though our garden is absolute chaos🤣 I know our children will have great memories of it though.
ОтветитьHey Jess, I was sorting through some things in my home the other day, and I found 8 skeins of yarn, my crochet project bag with my hooks, scissors, etc., and a book with a bunch of beautiful afghan patterns in it. I guess I know what my winter project is this year! LOL 😁😁😁
ОтветитьThis inspired me to get outside & do what I can in my gardens each day! In our short growing season, I always feel rushed, but have to remember I am only one person doing the best I can! Thanks & blessings 🤗🇨🇦🌻
ОтветитьYes! Seeds scattering when emptying pockets or even just getting ready for bed! 🙂
ОтветитьLoving the daily videos! Can we visit the animals too??? Also could you post a short video about all the different tea that you make out of plants growing in the garden? If it already exist I will look for it.
ОтветитьYes! A bumper sticker that says I break for berries is a genius idea! I’ll purchase one! Love you Jess❤
ОтветитьIdeal isn't always what's ava😢 so you make due with what you have!❤ That's part of being a true gardener 😊❤

ОтветитьGirl the way that showgirl of a beet showed up, had my jaw on the floor!
ОтветитьWhen my kiddo was 6 I started gardening. I let him learn with me and gave him his own plants to tend. When he was 9 and we moved to NH, we built a bean teepee he would use as a fort and pick the beans. I was a single, working mom and involving him in everything gave is both enormous opportunities for growth and closeness 🌱💚
ОтветитьThe place is looking great, glad you got some time at the beach 🎉
ОтветитьLol, I am a gardener. I have had the seeds fall out of the pocket. LOL
ОтветитьThanks Jess, for repeating the perspective of good enough. I did 3 of the things on my list but finished none. I'm so grateful for enough rain this spring to end the drought?, and I'm sowing more than ever because no matter what, everyone needs to eat! Peace and Blessings all! 🍓🌻🍅😊🙏
ОтветитьI feel the part about babies and having a plan. I got so much stuff in later than I had hoped. Currently 34 weeks pregnant in Zone 6B and really wanted to have more fresh food this summer. Only have about half of my in ground space planted with summer crop, and my new raised beds aren't done yet. I have plants I started that need to go in and no where to put most of them. Also have a few fruit trees and blackberry plants I got for Mother's Day that I don't have a good plan for, and need to get them in before this baby comes and/or they get sick.
ОтветитьYes! The tree house spot, I'm glad I wasn't alone in my suggestion with that, and now I'm so excited they will be growing where the children play ❤️
🎉
Sorry was chatting and left to chat to my sister and lost my post. She shouldn’t have goofed me up but didn’t know I would lose my post. Going to try and find some organic ginger to plant. Maybe in the bottom of my new garden stalk. What do you think?? Love all you planted. Wish I had a larger area to plant but I don’t. May all you planted come up and thrive. Hearts and Flowers coming your way. ❤️💐
ОтветитьEverything in the garden is looking fabulous.
ОтветитьBesides the peppers and tomatoes, this is the first yr I've started everything from seed in my garden!!!
ОтветитьThis video made my day! 😂 Miah yanking out an oak, then a beet bigger than the tree!!!
ОтветитьJess, I love that you threw that ginger in the ground without even looking! If that works for you, I can do it too! I tend to overthinking or do things too "gingerly" haha. You inspire me to just relax and enjoy the garden more because "seeds want to grow"!
