I communicate with autoimmune disease patients online daily. The people from the U.K. and Canada, where there is "universal" healthcare, have shared some shocking posts about the time they have to wait for referral to a specialist. It can take a year or more. By that time, some patients will die.

died at 87. He told me that EVERYTHING IS A RACKET. I was sad about that and I didn't believe him. Our economy, housing, medicines, insurance, etc
are not sustainable for those on a fixed income. We have no where to go. Rent and costs of homes is outrageous. Condo bills outrageous with HOA fees outrageous. Insurance is outrageous, dental care is mostly uninsurable. Why are we putting up with this? I gave and gave and.gave during my lifetime. As a former teacher and Counselor and put in much of my money to educate our children. Now, I'm old. Kick me to the curb. Grab and take, grab and take. 7.00 for a box of Ritz crackers!
I can't even budget, prices going up so fast!! I can't even afford over the counter medications. ALF's too expensive, as is rent, condos with outrageous HOA FEES. What does De satan and Frump do about it? They're bought and sold!! Florida has become a nightmare. Whatever western medicine tells you to do- do the opposite. It's all a big lie, designed to make you sick. Americans have been trick or treating with their health since the early 1900s. Long enough now that the entire rest of the world sees us as morons- which we are. I worked in clinical medicine for 27 years (I know, slow learner) before I saw the writing on the wall. By following my advice above, I've kept my health. Reject american sickcare and save yourself.

How do think women feel when they have pregnancy complications and need an abortion, need miscarriage care to save their lives YOU turn your backs on them and they suffer because of these bans that you hide behind because you’re afraid what will happen to you not those patients some who had preventable deaths! The health care system is demoralizing? So are your damn bills! I had an ER doctor give me medication he knew I was allergic to because he refused to listen. The pharmacist chewed out the doctor over the phone and I got something else. It’s demoralizing when a doctor knows you’re allergic to a med and gives it anyway! I have no insurance and get half assed treatment. No, doctors, I have no sympathy about what you go through because what patients go through can be brutal and uncared for and sometimes fatal!

The best doctor I ever had retired at 50 because he was sick and tired of fighting insurance companies. The fights weren't about him getting paid, they were about insurance companies denying necessary treatments due to cost. He made some really good investments that gave him the freedom to walk away and do whatever he wanted. He had a great practice with the equipment and staff to do a lot of lab work in house. He sold the practice to a terrible doctor that I only saw once before moving on.

Americans are so bamboozled they will never understand that socialized health care is the only way to deliver health . The rich can get a private insurance on top of it but you must have socialized health care /universal health care as the bedrock of care delivery. They will never ever understand it. They will scream communism socialism etc etc and die as a consequence. For profit can only be a small part of health care or you die. So let them have the system they want and have the outcomes we see .

Agree 100% I have experienced European universal health care; infinitely better than our corporate falsehood. See also landmark 2009 Harvard Medical School study (look it up online)..."at least 45,000 persons lose their lives every year because of corporate profit decisions rather than medical." I am a seasoned doctor. I retired because I no longer wish to work in axsystem run by venture capitalists and Corporate run medical care. Our health care has become full of errors. Quality has gone down the tube.
