Depressingly true. Patriotism is for the weeds, I'm sick of this country, the outright negligence of the government is only matched in stupidity and naivety by their voters closed mindedness. An entire generation's ability to thrive and survive has been wasted. Thanks to Brexit, even the hope of emigrating is harder. There is literally not one aspect of British life that is better now than pre 2008. Labour screwed up, yes, but dear god what on earth have the Conservatives done since?! They've turned a broken arm into an amputation. Yet the people persisted with this death march. We never learn, the Conservatives are hapless, and the "Reform" are rotten to the core. God help us, even if we don't deserve it.

Why is England no longer a rich economy? Well, they don't have India to mooch off any anymore. Not getting 1/3 of Indian agricultural produce for free and the equivalent of what today would $200 billion in tax revenues. HA HA.

You can't say uk lost 5th place because of decline. India has a huge population and economy, it was always destined to overtake the uk.

Give the UK's vacant land to the people let the people develop the land. Use the banks to stimulate development of the land. Give the people the mineral and water rights also. The people will grow your economy quickly.

Despite years of austerity, UK debt is more than 100% of GDP. Explain that.
Plus UK economy is 30% less than 2008 in real terms.
UK chose war: Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Ukraine and Palestine.

The 2008 crash should have never happened and since no heads rolled it going to happen again.

What else could be expected for a country that turned money into its faking god, embraced wokeness, atheism and "progresism". Fading away

Tourists arriving at Heathrow airport & traveling into central London on the Piccadilly line get a sense of this pretty quickly. Sure, Heathrow terminals 2 & 5 look nice but once on the tube train the fancy stations stop after Hatton Cross. Then it's on to Hounslow West, Central, and East. While nothing really wrong with the platforms the stations look as if they had their last upgrade around 1955!😂

That type of title is shameful. Let's try to put ourselves in the shoes of someone living in a developing country. What would they think of that ?

The worst part is the people working hardest are getting the least remuneration for their efforts and then shamed in the media for not taking more hours, more work despite the poverty wages. 40% of people in work need state support. That’s a reflection of greed not poor work ethics by working people. This is being done by design, by greed.

So in this economic recession, how exactly can we guard against the coming financial reset for 2025? Like what are really the best strategies to make our portfolio recession proof against the incoming financial reset? I'm very worried about my $110k stock portfolio.
