Definitely adding this one to my list of "I want to learn" songs. 🙂
ОтветитьHi Lauren. It's a coincidence that I saw this lesson from you on Margaritaville today. It was exactly a year ago that I performed that song live at a music fest with my guitar instructor Brian May and his band. I used the syncopated strumming pattern. You teach this song exactly the way Brian May told me to learn it. You are awesome Lauren.
ОтветитьIm glad I found your content. I started playing again after some time off from frustration. I found playing fun again while watching your method
ОтветитьLook how cute Lauren looks! Fun lesson! Made my Saturday as always! 😊😊😊
ОтветитьThank you very much 🙏🏽🙏🏻
ОтветитьReally cool and fun lesson for a timeless song! Thanks so much. Really appreciate it! 🙏🎸
ОтветитьGreat Song ! Awesome job teaching it 😊
ОтветитьAwesome lesson, my mama used to play this in the 70"s I have never learned it, but I think now I will give it a shot. Thank You
Ответить🥰👊🤛👏♥
ОтветитьHi,super, back from holiday.3 weeks no guitar in my hands.tragical😊😊😊
ОтветитьNeed proof music keeps you young? Look at Lauren's oldest video you can find. She hasn't aged at all... Oooooo its truuuue! :)
ОтветитьYou Rock!
ОтветитьHi Lauren, just came across your channel. I'm a beginner again! I've tried on and off for years but never stuck to it, but this time I'm going to power through. I've been using Justin Guitars videos because I like how thorough he is, but I like your teaching style also so I'm going to start your lessons too now. Came across this video and loved it - I've been somewhat of a Parrot Head since college, and who doesn't love this song?! I already know all the lyrics! A final fun fact: Jimmy Buffet and I have the same birthday too!
ОтветитьI'm glad your channel found my timeline
ОтветитьHi Lauren, you really do a great job of explaining and teaching and I enjoy learning from you. Thank You.
ОтветитьLauren is an amazing teacher and if you have learned as much as I have in such a short period of time from her, please consider donating to her on her website. She deserves it.
ОтветитьIt’s funny I’m finding DDUUDU way easier than the other lol probably because that’s in my muscle memory
ОтветитьNow everyone who wants to rock this song in his honor after his passing today, has got a wonderful recent tutorial to do so
ОтветитьThank-you Lauren for doing this lesson. Sad to hear of Jimmy Buffet’s passing. This will be on my daily practice list.
ОтветитьGood timing on this song lesson.
ОтветитьGreat lesson
ОтветитьLauren,
I've been learning guitar from you for a good while and I just wanted to say that I very much enjoy your teaching style. I'm working on Margaritaville now in honor of the late great Jimmy Buffet. Thank you for teaching this old guy how to play the guitar keep up the great work.
Great stuff there Lauren, and a great ol strumming party song,Rip poor ol Jimmy B.
Obviously you need to change the key, capo 3rd maybe, would suit your voice.Ger guitar man.

I love this song, but it's too low for me to sing. What alternative chords can I use for female voices? Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьAwesome! I just love the way you present your lessons. It motivates me to keep trying. Picked up the guitar two months ago and finally have enough calloused fingers that I can practice more than 5 minutes at a time. Your presentation of songs makes it understandable for older students like me. Keep up the great work.
ОтветитьI see you as Sarah Silverman teaches guitar ….works for me…I’m Subbed in
ОтветитьI'm grasping...on a TeleCaster...faster I go on it better it sounds
Ответитьknow it's OffSubject. ...but for better video experience and useable APPS with her videos...just updated apple MBAir m1 to Sonama from big sir...took 6 attempts...word to all ..be close to your wifi router or plugged directly into it. USB-C male to ethernet Female cable....and also charged battery or plugged in... took months to JUMP..so far smooth sailing..now Garage Band and Goodies will update to current builds..it was the sticking point that made me do the update... also updated Apple PadPro2 tablet... now all updates will stick and not get rejected...Garage Band one of them
ОтветитьTHE NUMBERS ARE TO SMALL😮

I love the fact that you make it easy for us seniors and enjoy playing guitar
ОтветитьSomething that would be useful would be to list the tempo (bpm?). It gives me something to shoot for as I improve when learning to play the songs
ОтветитьYou were thinking about making 3 trips back to the buffet... 🤣 That cold did a number on ya. what were you taking for it. awesome video though.. Thanks Lauren..
ОтветитьExtremely helpful Lauren! I loved the chord changes going off the lyric in the song, never thought of that! Great video
ОтветитьWell done with the chord change words, even for someone too young to know what a pop top is hehe.
ОтветитьBest teacher
ОтветитьThe demonstration of that intro was great. 👏👏 I am definitely saving this video to practice it (and the song too!) Thanks bunches. (At 74 I'm in your demographic. 😊)
ОтветитьHi Lauren! Just letting you know that I am still learning the guitar and never quiting. As you know my guitar instructors name is Brian May. Brian May had me perform this song with his band two years ago. I am never quiting the guitar. On your videos you are a great instructor.
ОтветитьI've got the lyrics and chords typed out, ready for me to practice. I'm excited about learning that intro. Also, it would be great to use that alternate strum but I haven't been able to master ANY strum containing two up-strums in a row. 😢 I'll stick with the simpler version for now though. Keeping fingers crossed. 🤞 🙂
ОтветитьI've been practicing this song, so far haven't tackled that intro. But I'm getting ready to incorporate it.
Interestingly the lyrics/chords I copied from online didn't have the D7 transition. I thought the song needed something there, so I added the D7 myself.
This is a fun song. I keep track of this video to remind me about adding little flourishes like that intro. Keep 'em coming, Lauren.
50 is the new 40
ОтветитьOk Lauren! I was laughing my ears off when you said arthritis😅great video❤thanks
ОтветитьThank you beatifull woman
ОтветитьThank you, you make it fun to learn. I'm not that good but I am actually learning
