How to customize Ring’s Quick Replies feature

Thanks for the video, nicely done. I appreciate Ring for thinking about this feature, but with the limited options currently provided (as of Oct 7, 2021), I'm not able to use it effectively. One time, my door bell started playing the automated response, after I talked to the person at the door which was funny. This will become an AWESOME feature, if Ring enables the user to respond with an automated response REAL-TIME when looking at the live view and also provide the option to record custom voice message(s).

Thanks for the video, but the title of it is misleading. You do not provide instructions on how to actually customize the feature, although you do explain how to use it, enable it, and select from (as already pointed out) very limited prefab messages. Someone needs to hack this device so we can have it say anything we want, ala Alexa's Routines.

I want it to be able to speak a comment even if someone doesnt ring the bell.

What a missed opportunity from Ring. Very annoying and no message for a motion trigger. Also, no integration with Alexa to send custom messages based on motion.

I would like the ability to be able to select a pre-recorded message on my phone and send it to the person I see at my door. I would love to store maybe 50 different messages on my phone so I can choose not only the first message but a follow-up message to that visitor.

The one thing that would really help is to be able to change the volume setting as I tried it on my 2nd gen doorbell and the volume is so high i can hear it down the street!

Can it have a motion response saying something like "you're being recorded by ring" without having to touch the doorbell button? Just as a warning?

QUICK REPLY has been available for years. I dont understand why recording your own message is still not an option. Not everyone speaks english

Ridiculous how these devices are priced. This should be £50 max, not £180 which I've just paid. Crappy camera, terrible speaker, pathetic WiFi. Handy though, just so overpriced.

How do I make a Quick Replies in UK English instead of an Americab voice

I wish I could change the voice on my 3+ device is there a way to change the response accent.

I want to keep the response to answer the doorbell. But I want to get rid of the announcement, "Hi, you are currently being recorded."

I have turned the quick responses off, but that annoying announcement never goes away. How do I turn that off and keep the doorbell response on?

I'd like one that yells Get your hand off me! Or it makes a moaning sound when pressed.

Im disabled and it takes me longer to get to the door and due to balance issues I don’t want to be fiddling with my phone when I’m trying to get to the door. So I was hoping there was a “please give me a moment to get to the door” quick reply. Im not too worried about the parcel message because I usually know when I’m expecting one so I can turn on that message then

I don't want any messages from bothersome visitors, I already have irritating phone voicemails :/ What I want, is to be able to program Vin Diesel's voice hollering at them to Go AWAY! Etc. A lot of Vin Diesel type responses. Yep. He has a good voice for scaring away people.

I want my quick replies to be a male voice but it’s this cheesy female voice… it would even be nice to use my own voice but I’m sure there are legalities involved since people are weird and I can only imagine the things some would record…

We buy the premium model of this doorbell and other components expecting at least common sense response. It is true the equipment works well. Yet no worthwhile message. How on earth would anybody think it OK to leave that screeching voice for your visitors? I get it. Someone's wife sounds OK to them. At least do some research and find a few pleasant voices to choose from. Far better enable our recording our own message like people have been doing probably since cockatoos first talked. This voice is a horrible assault on our visitors and the answers a mismatch with almost every circumstance.
