You need to go to Hyde Park or the SoHo districts in Tampa. Tons of great restaurants there. I think Tampa is a great area for really good restaurants.
ОтветитьYou missed the park system. You brushed over it, but it’s one of the big things to note, if not the biggest. Our waterfront park system is the 3rd largest in North America. As a whole, St Pete has over 150 parks. That’s what kept us thriving through the pandemic
ОтветитьAnother plus is its proximity to everything 20-30 from the beach and if you want to go to a concert or sport game 20-30min to Tempa want to go to Great theme parks 2 hrs drive away from orlando, wanna have a blast with night life 4hr away from Miami, not that St Pete and Tempa don’t already have their own good night life.
ОтветитьOn the part in regards to weather, does it flood alot?
ОтветитьI don’t understood you said cost of living is 98 percent of national average but you then said that rent is high ?
ОтветитьAs soon as you compared St Pete to NYC cost of living, I had to turn you off.
Lifelong resident.
LMFAO!
I can't afford a tear-down condition 1 bed 1 bath hone for $550,000, unfortunately
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing all the good things about St Pete. This is the best episode I have watched among others of St Pete area!
ОтветитьI was born and raised here in St.Petersburg, Fl for 65 years. I dont care how you dress it up, build beautiful buildings and talk it up, it is still a high crime and homeless area.
Based on FBI crime data, St. Petersburg is not one of the safest communities in America. Relative to Florida, St. Petersburg has a crime rate that is higher than 83% of the state's cities and towns of all sizes.
1492 sq ft avg home in a very nice suburban are of St. Pete 1998 $98.00. With a few updates through the years $450.00 2022. High property taxes, high home and auto insurance. Terrible traffic and driver attitudes. Don't compare St. Pete to New York, L.A. Chicago or other areas that are more than triple the size. Try other cities of similar size where the weather is pretty good all year round. Weather pretty good at times other than Summer. Restaurants pretty good overall. Lots of good stuff but not the best. As you stated. Very difficult to find a place to live that's affordable. Most people that move in that can afford the area are those that retired from the Northeast that made a ton of money from a house that they lived in for many years or those with very deep pockets. The average family would have a very difficult time finding a place to live.
ОтветитьYears ago I visited Naples, Florida and commented it seemed there were very few young people. A realtor explained that when people retire they go to Naples adding that when their parents retire they go to St. Petersburg. He seemed to have been on to something. I retired in Naples while my father retired in St. Pete. Both are great places to live.
ОтветитьI grew up in San Diego CA but lived in St.Pete for 20 plus years and San Diego weather is much better including summer
ОтветитьI want to leave. Anyone want to

Trying to find studios that are 1000-1300 a month is such a struggle in st pete

ОтветитьAnother housing bubble that is going to explode!! Godspeed!
ОтветитьYeah please make it stop it was so much better without all this traffic and all the weird paintings down in St Petersburg the paintings of those people down there are just how much how much drugs did you do
ОтветитьStop advertising us leave us alone we don't want California wackos
ОтветитьPlease take this down we have enough people in St Petersburg and we'd like it to keep looking nice we don't need Democrats down here that don't know how to keep right from wrong yes from no
