it also feels like new sige focuses on stuff the ghosts do.
rainbow are police and acounter terrorist
ghosts are black ops
third echelon are espionage
devision are last resort
somehow it feels like rainbow has to do eveyrthing while it should focus on the counter terrorisem and police stuff
If i wanna play with unrealistic operators id plat valorant i just wanna 1 tap someone with out a disabled cat robot just sitting in a corner watching me
ОтветитьRemoving the old maps was really the nail in the coffin for them especially house it was the 1v1 and 2v2 map for fun. They could've had twice the amount of content but ruined it 😂
ОтветитьThanks to this gap they created bow we have amazing comunities in Reeady or not and similar mil sim games
ОтветитьPardon my rant, but as an old school player Tom Clancy. Siege was a disappointment from day one. Mostly due to the aesthetic as you mention with cosmetics, which comes from being a hero shooter. Back then, Rainbow 6 as an organization had a menagerie of gear and weapons owing to its role as a counterterror unit and its reach with having members from the United States to the Russian Federation, from Brazil to South Korea. But they always had that uniform appearance with varying degrees. The "ninja" look as the novel described it. You know what I mean. The moment Siege launched, all the operatives run around looking like a bunch of airsoft larpers. (Something that laughably awful setup of TOURNAMENTS made worse.) All the "abilities" just make it even dumber.
It's even worse when you consider it apparently shares a universe with Ghost Recon which is also going through a similar issue. Rainbow has all this cool tech and gear but it's made by operators and therefore only distributed singularly to individual operators. Ghost Recon used to use a lot of cool tech but downgraded a mere year after the events of Future Soldier in Breakpoint as the corpses at the beginning show. Becoming just another generic wester spec ops unit.
And Sam Fisher. Ohhhhhhh man... he's been relegated to fanservice.
R6S blocking Linux users has been a constant and needless limitation
ОтветитьRemember when the game was tactical shooter with counter terrorism groups teaming up together? Now we have a game that has the writing and characters we would see in a anime.
ОтветитьI just dont get why they even added 'lore' to the game, I played it for the first couple of years never felt like it needed any kind of story at all.
ОтветитьIll tell you this … 9 years in existence and the first greek operator is a disabled woman who isnt even in the match she just uses 2 robots .. Like does ubisoft even does research… In order for someone to get in the antiterrorist team in greece EKAM they have to untergo many physical and mental tests so theres no way a disabled woman would get in .. But fuck it lets just offend a whole ass country and its antiterrorist team so the crybabies in this community wont feel offended
ОтветитьCant believe we went from Rainbow vegas to this garbage
ОтветитьIt went woke, fire the new liberal woke developers and make R6 great again.
Ответитьtone, lore and realism does matter to gameplay i would say.
ОтветитьIt looks like there's a continuing wrestling match between the dev team trying to maintain the original vision, and Ubisoft executives impulsively chasing the latest trends.
ОтветитьThe moment they added silly futuristic gadgets I knew the game was gonna go into the Overwatch/Valorant sci-fi setting. I genuinely miss when the most advance gadget was a drone with a sonic blast. Even then Echo's gadget fell too futuristic, but still plausible in a modern setting. Personally the game died when they shifted the lore direction into a blood-sport team rather than multi national anti terrorism group.
Ответить"None of the non-realistic camos affect gameplay" I patently disagree and anybody who has ever had a handful of gunfights against the Rick Doc headgear or the Nøkk paper bag headgear will agree with me
ОтветитьAs a fan of Rainbow Six since 1998, this sounds like a woman who got a man to get a divorce, married him, then gets surprised when he cheats on her a few years later. Brother, the identity was lost a decade ago.
ОтветитьSiege basically lost me when they started introducing total BS into the game. Echo and his invisible drone that shoots magic headaches at people. Seriously?
Looking at it now, that seems kind of grounded compared to what's in the game today. I was attracted to Siege at launch because of its grounded realistic tone.
Finally someone spoke what was in my mind.. r6 turned into a overwatch mixed with fortnite
ОтветитьI remember trying to get a team of people interested in tactics.
But unfortunately everyone has that supersoldier mentality. All they have to have is wits and a fast reaction time with precise aim. The whole idea of siege was Special weapons and tactics. However the headshot shit began early. Even I have an old video reel of someone trying to spawn peek in Oregon and I flick one shot them with a pistol. It became a peek fest. It is a tactic for defenders to utilize everything to their advantage but shield users were severely underpowered in the game.
But again it's all about tactics.
If I were to change Siege back into a tactical game I would have the gadgets installed on a map before you spawn in. There is far too little time for people to setup the map a certain way and far too little time to execute the operation for the attacking team. It turned into a hot mess when they introduced banning an operator (it is why I left and never came back since.)
But again the game was ruined by so many players trying to turn siege into another call of duty, where the traps were an after thought.
I get that they needed to have something to identify the traps. But in a real world situation the defenders would want the traps as hidden as possible.
The people who ruined the game the most were the toxic players.
Siege should have stayed true to its origins and not released map specific operators. Instead they should have stuck to the original plan and just updated the old operators to have different abilities unlocked through time.
I haven't played the game since they started the whole ban thing so forgive me if I haven't even watched any gameplay of this game since. But I would have had a progression system similar to metal gear online. Such as for ash: if you keep getting killed within a minute of running and gunning she should get armor and get speed reduced. Making her hard to kill with bullets but not taking away any weapons. For fuse, with his grenade launcher, if you keep killing yourself with your own grenade launcher it should have the grenades set to a certain direction, but launching them further away.
If you keep getting your Thermite pads electrocuted by blitz then you should have the fuze blow up immediately when electrocuted.
They should have evolved the technology they were using. If the twitch drone kept getting shot down too easily then the drone should be slower, more quiet, but harder to kill. And instead of zapping the enemy to alert presence she should have it go completely invisible in a corner so that, even in the event of the enemy being notified of getting spotted all of the time looking to destroy her drone they would have to resort to using a grenade to get rid of it at a corner.
At the same time when Mira's mirror keeps getting zapped off there should be a way to keep it forever locked in place so that they cannot open the mirror, but it is much larger, forcing a peeker to use the sides or to shoot at the feet of the attackers. But the window can't be broken down. Another defender, rook, if his plates aren't good enough because his team is getting head shorted he should give the defenders a helmet similar to what counterstrike has. It can take a few bullets before it gives the headshot. They should have evolved the technology but had the progression system of metal gear online. It is through experience over time that evolves their technology.
If the window God was too much then tachanka should have had a boost to his armor on his Gatling gun so he could cover that window by allowing him to crouch with it.
There was so much promise with that game but they opted for banning an operator or taking out grenades.
Come on.
I remember playing this game nonstop for 3 years straight since launch. Tried hopping on and its not the same game for sure.
ОтветитьThe fact that they wasted everyone's time with Extraction shows how much ubisoft has lost the plot. They could have expanded the lore or gave t-hunt fans some love. Instead, we got aliens and a dead game.
ОтветитьNot having a campaign mode was the main reason I didn't buy the game until like five or six years after release(I got it on sale). When I do play the game, everything is just so weird. They do the same thing that Call of Duty does. Break any immersion you were already struggling to have with goofy skins and super powers that in no way reflect the vision Tom Clancy would have had. I'll play the game casually every now and then and it can be fun but I don't really see it as anywhere near what Rainbow actually was.
ОтветитьTom clancy is rolling in his grave right now due to what ubisoft is doing with his name.
ОтветитьPre-year 1 was peak.
Everything after that went to shit since they wanted people to pay for new operators.
And id say all of it sid have an impact on gameplay since they always were trying to one-up previous operators and completely disrupting the core rock, paper, scissors mechanics of the original operators
Terrorist was a key feature for rainbow six games. If they removed that from the game, then they also removed my wallet from their income.
ОтветитьMy friend....the R6 of today has NOTHING to do with the 1st games back in 1998 and 2001.
It has become another poor COD copy. It lost its identity 20 years ago
I’ve been there since black ice…. I’m feeling like a veteran watching my world, the world I’ve fight for….dying
ОтветитьIn the end the real enemy against RB6 was ubisoft.
ОтветитьThis would be a perfect point of focus for a R6 2. To aim at recreating that original tactical shooter feeling. With better graphics, better destruction, and an actually organized game mechanics.
With everything constantly being buffed and nerfed, the game seems to always seems to have a weak spot. I think a complete rework of the game would make it 1000% better.
"R6S lost its identity"
"It plays more than like a tactical shooter than ever before"
huh? Sounds like this subset of the community is just looking for something to cry about.
To balance the game they made lean spamming easy as fuck so everyone could do it. So silly.
ОтветитьJesus, that rick-and-morty skin bundle would be enough to make me quit the game then and there
ОтветитьI played the first Rainbow Six game. I have no clue how it got any sequels.
Ответить1 word. There is 1 poison that ruins every game it touches.
E-sports.
This game was never about realism but the tactical gameplay
ОтветитьOne of the many reasons why I stopped playing. The slight futurism got trashed completely.
ОтветитьOsa, unrealistic skins, and gender politics really killed it for me
ОтветитьStarted playing in 2017 and played till 2019 non stop for 3000+ total, but i stopped playing fully in 2020. No more dead bodies, graphics and gameplay is arcady, gunplay no longer feels the same since the new recoil rework, gay shit being added, and so on. It just feels mediocre at best nowadays, i don't get the same joy i used to from siege, and i ccan't jsut chill and imemrse myself in the atmosphere the game used to have. Night maps were fun and looks nice, but they removed it and man do i miss old siege. I am somewhat a pro too, but i don't focus on rank that much so my peak was diamond 5, but my kd is mostly 1,3 across all seasons.
ОтветитьSiege's downfall made me buy Ready or Not instead.
Not just because the style, but the insane shift to E-sports focused decision by the devs
even if rainbow makes non realistic decisions for the game i will still like it and play it
ОтветитьThis is why I’ve never played it. Just looks goofy
ОтветитьIt's absaloutely telling when they put Halo Spartans in instead of Halo ODST's which would fit in seamlessly, right down to their silenced weapons.
ОтветитьHmm yes when people said area F2 is a rip off and should be lawsuited meanwhile Ubisoft making these decisions
ОтветитьNo no, they fucked up by using the same build for esports as for consumers. So consumers watch the esports and see their strats and thus Ubisoft have to balance it for the esports crowd.
But the reason I stopped playing was the fucking lack of support for solo players. Every time an operator is decent enough for solo play, it gets abused in esports aaaand now the op is nerfed.
The final nail was the fucking operator vote dealio
We can talk and yap about the writing all we want, but it doesn't change the fact that the game is an unfun sweat fest that punishes you for doing something outside the meta. Shame I played this game, because I'll never get those hours back.
ОтветитьAs someone who played other Rainbow Six games, I feel that Siege itself is a loss of identity for Rainbow Six. One that, in some weird and roundabout way, kinda got sorta back with Extraction (if we ignore that the enemies are an alien virus, not bio-terrorists).
So, in some way, I am actually GLAD that some of the old characters now return in some fashion, as it gives, at least storywise, Rainbow Six part of its history back (still, no more Ding Chavez - and no, John Conor Chavez, either), as Siege just felt so... disconnected and unrelated to me until then.
The destruction is why i wanted to play this game at launch. Reminded me of a tactical battlefield 4 (from a destruction standpoint)
ОтветитьEverything becomes Fortnite in the end
Ответить
