I preferred Val over Brenda on 90210. Brenda was annoying and moody. Val was a vixen with dimension. Plus I've always loved Tiffanie from Saved By the Bell.

Two and a Half Men. The highest rated episode with Ashton Kutcher has a lower rating than the lowest rated episode with Charlie Sheen.

Ha! Clearly you didnt do your homework. By season 4, 90210 like a lot of night time soaps had hit a ratings downturn and Doherty exited. Ratings INCREASED w/Tiffani Thiessen who brought a dark, beautiful energy to the tormented psuedo villain/misunderstood Val. She wasnt supposed to be relatable, she was villainess whose good acting by Thiessen made you love her bc she was bad but then you saw the pain of her unable to overcome her weaknesses. Literally the most depth character amongst caricatures. In fact, ratings hit a great increase stride the following two seasons 5-6 and about around 7 storylines were just getting old and they were repeating old patterns with her character and so she left mid way through 9 abruptly like Brandon. Ratings TANKED even further and 10 became last episode...all while mainstays of Garth, Spelling, Zering, Greene remained throughout whole series. Thiessen may have been a brunette but she was completely diff than Brenda character wise. What BS.

a) J Depp leaving 21 Jump Street after S4. Noone even remembers the name of the actor who replaced him. I think however it wasnt as Thomas Hanson b) The old British series Mind Your Language, S4 had a slew of new actors to replace many of the classic cast, and the newbies were terrible in every regard.

TAT and rest actors kept 90210 going and the show did survive for many years even though SD exit hit the show hard. She left before the shows cancellation. Get your facts right and access right resources.

NOOOOOO! The worst was Emma Samms (who I loved as Holly on "General Hospital") replacing Pamela Sue Martin as Fallon on "Dynasty". She didn't have the aggressive drive of her predecessor- it was like replacing Sophia Loren with Debbie Reynolds. Also, there's not a bitchy bone in her Fallon compared to Martin's.

Look, Tiffani Thiessen on BH90210 was everything. She wasn't Brenda, but she was so far off from Brenda's personality that it didn't matter. This show badly needed a villain.

After Peter Duel died his replacement on Alias Smith and Jones was not nearly as good.

I don't think it's fair to blame actors who come as replacements onto long running series. Often these series are near running out of gas and that is the reason some of the actors left in the first place.

I like Brenda and Valerie. I didn’t like Matt replacing Brandon or Gina replacing Valerie. Should’ve ended the series in season 8 with Brandon and Kelly getting married.

Umm, 2 1/2 Men?
Getting rid of Sheen immediately tanked the show. Granted, Sheen had become impossible to work with, but it was really "The Charlie Sheen Show"; and without Sheen, they should have just cancelled the show.

The video should have been called “tv big wigs think they know more than the actual fans”. Every time some tv executive thinks they know what a shows needs it gets cancelled. 😂🤣

bringing in new characters to replacing actors to play the same character is very different.

The real kicker about that 90210 thing, Years latter she was hired to play Prue Hollywell on Charmed. They fell out again and in comes Rose McGowan as Page Mathews and wala instant success. It sure is funny how the two shows share the same producer.

The worst replacement was Ashton Kutcher. He was boring, self-righteous, and basically; just a lousy actor.
'Pretty stupid choice.
The character of Miss Ellie in Dallas was important; no denying that. What bothers me is how Jock Ewing played by the late, great Jim Davis seems almost forgotten. They did try to replace him in the mid eighties, but Davis did such a phenomenal job playing the character that it ultimately proved impossible.

Oh yeah, and Dick Seargent.

I've never seen a more smarmy, boring, sarcastic, and unlikeable actor.
Every scene had that condescending, down ward face of his.
Gone was Dick York's comic timing, incredulous expressions, and likeability.
With him as Darin; you could understand his situation.
With Seargent; you couldn't understand at all why Samantha wanted him around.
