Ordered just waiting till the stock arrives the first RX100 Camera I'll own exciting times. I had the A7iii before but had to sell it, so I am looking forward to using the RX100 VII that tracking focus and zoom range is impressive in a compact Camera.

I'm loving the RX100m7. Works great with the m3 I have as well. Been using the heck out of it for a month already. Plan on taking it to a offroading event this coming week to put it to work. Looking forward to the results, they'll be interesting I'm sure. Finally I have my "Sony" gear complete with this tiny beast. Been using Sony since the 5n, looking forward to what y'all keep producing.

One thing though, can y'all please look into weather sealing them? I know I could buy a RX10 version, but really..I like the compactness of these RX models.

I learned today that Sony is will soon release a firmware update for the RX10IV, which is supposed to add animal eye AF.

A decade back, all portables owned by me was a sony. A Handycam, phone, walkman, earphones and a laptop. It was top quality products from sony. Brilliant engineering. Somewhere down the lane, they lost their way.

I am so saddened that Sony has not built on the RX family of cameras as to permit those of us who wish to travel or have a everyday carry camera much more capable than our Smart Phones. There is a real market for dedicated small but powerful cameras for travel and everyday use which removes the complexity of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras and just delivers the joy of capturing your world whilst getting the best possible image quality. I have been stuck waiting for the RX family to take the next step, only to see nothing in the compact caterory other than the annual mobile phone announcements, Sony is really missing something here.

Can you make a compact camera with a focal length of 24mm to 200mm and aperture of 2.8?
Provided that when the focal length is 24mm, the lens aperture is 2.8, and when the focal length is 200mm, the lens aperture is 2.8.
