Cute
ОтветитьAS others have said put a small jet into it!!!
Insane glide angle, showing the perfection of the design
Incredible, I know they had to modify it because the original was so dangerous that it killed as many of its own pilots as it did the enemies
ОтветитьBah warum rot
Ответитьit was Rebocked?
ОтветитьA lot of pilots must have died testing this crotch rocket
ОтветитьLooks like all it needs, is a more high performance tow plane.
ОтветитьHe ruined it by painting it red, at least he would have done it with the original camouflage color... apart from the fact that it does not have or use its rocket motor
Ответитьjawoll
ОтветитьNot the same without the rocket power and dolly used fir take off
Ответить全翼機あるあるだけど、迎え角高いなぁ
ОтветитьBellissimo❤️👍📍

If they could fit the engine from the BD-5 Microjet into it then this would be one hell of a toy.
ОтветитьAwesome
Wouldn’t it be something with the jet from the BD-5?

ОтветитьEven It didn't use the landing skid, still happy and glad to see this
ОтветитьThe original had two fuel trucks. One truck couldn't be anywhere near the other.
ОтветитьToo bad they felt the need to paint it all red. They should have gone with the original camo pattern.
ОтветитьWhy is the Me 163 called a 'Kraftei' in the title? That word (literal meaning: 'power egg') was used to describe unitised assemblies of propeller engines and their accessories that could be quickly and easily be swapped in and out amongst aircraft with standardised fittings to facilitate maintenance and inventory management. I don't believe it was ever associated with the Me 163.
ОтветитьTo think this was only 40 years after Wright brothers & Kitty Hawk - amazing. There are much safer rocket engines available today, so it would be possible to build a self powered version.
ОтветитьIncredible that an aircraft that is capable of flying at high Mach close to the speed of sound, also glides so beautifully with no power…. I don’t think there was or is any other aircraft that had - has such a broad flight envelope…
ОтветитьWw2 planes are my favorite
ОтветитьFantastic flight of the red rocketbird…❤
ОтветитьJesli by dzisiaj zamontować temu bojowemu szybowcowi ,odpowiednie silniki , zamiast rakietowego , to była by perełka .
ОтветитьTrzeba by bylo go, na nowo zbudować z carbonu .
Ответить왜 콧수염 정치인에 독일공군이 날아다니는거야 😭😭😭😭😭
ОтветитьI expected some whoosh
Ответитьscheiß auf die messerschmitt, da ist ne do27! ein traum von flugzeug!
ОтветитьLa nostalgie allemande de leur glorieux passé ?
ОтветитьThat's not an actual Me-163 but a post-war built glider replica. It's basically a Me-163S training glider with out the extra cockpit for the instructor!
ОтветитьWhere is the rocket 🚀 ignition and flight? This is nothing more than a glider now. Cool but a glider nonetheless
ОтветитьBeautiful aircraft 🏅
Ответить7 to 8 minutes after takeoff to gain altitude and intercept a bomber
ОтветитьConspiracy theorists would claim alien technology built this rocket plane, rockets, and jets. Maybe it was just really smart and industrious visionaries.
ОтветитьI was hoping for the rocket !!
ОтветитьWell, now you know how the Americans got to the Moon?
ОтветитьCould have done without the music
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьI too was very disappointed to not see a balls to the wall high speed take off that the original was capable of. Even though we might be talking about a fairly short show due to limited fuel, it would have been more than worth it, if only to give due homage to the many brave men who fought and died in it, trying to protect their home and families, and the men and women who died or were injured ( Hannah Rietsch) in testing and training flights.
The idea that we do not have either a safe, proven, throttle-able rocket motor, or a turbine/s that could have been fitted to this replica, literally more than three quarters of a century later, is ridiculous. Given how small and light this replica aircraft is - less than 300kg - three or four off the shelf RC use commercially available turbines, about 24cm wide and 45cm long, weighing about 11kg each, would give this replica a thrust to weight ratio greater than 1:1 . Which means you could easily point it at the sky and watch it climb like a homesick angel. You could do that without even having to mess around with adding reheat ( US = an afterburner) to the exhaust... ( Which I admit I would happily pay to go see!)
This performance was like watching a top fuel dragster car being towed by a tow truck and then rolled along by hand on the quarter mile track for the assembled crowd. It might be "safe" by nanny state standards, but it wasn't what it was originally built to do.... On 2nd of October 1941, Heini Dittmar set the world air speed record in one of these aircraft of 1,004.5 km/h, or .81 of the speed of sound. No turbojet aircraft anywhere in the world reached this speed until 1953...
Good flight
ОтветитьVaya tecnología
ОтветитьSomeone please tell me if it is a replica.
ОтветитьSlippery little devil didn't wanna' stop flying!
ОтветитьDisappointed that the rocket motor is not working.
Ответитьслов нет
ОтветитьI loved this video and can only imagine the guy flying it with no real airspeed manuals and CG calculations unless they had an old handbook. It was a great skilled landing ,hope it finally stopped ! Sp\ometimes when it touches a simple felease forward of the stick might help keep it down without spoilers popping up.
ОтветитьQuite correct, the work of Lippisch and not Messerschmidt. A brilliant design. More than ten years of Thought, Research, and Development. Hypergolic fuel choice much too dangerous.
