That’s not hypocrisy at all. No one in the world is playing leagues for Double xp. That’s not the point at all. Very near sighted of you to say you’re not judging those who would do something you don’t want to do then in the same sentence judge them on that choice regardless. Your argument seems to have any legs to stand on. If anything it sounds like you’re not happy with the product you’re paying for. Which is not the fault of anyone who enjoys leagues

Leagues is a nice distraction for some and a fun mode to push limits for others.
Main game is a grind and if it was made too easy would invalidate the work of those who've already done it all.
On rs3 99s dont mean anything.
On osrs some 99s do. Not all, because nmz makes it bonkers ez for a handful, but many 99s actually have a bit of prestige behind them.
(Also some people use autoclickers for afk xp in other skills like thieving or agility)
99 rc is bonkers slow. 200m rc xp is wild. And there's tons of people who have 200m everything.

Honestly, this is my exact take on it. Why would I sweat, and you know people will still grind tf out of this content, just for it to be wiped and get a house trophy and a few mill?? It's nice to speed run content sure, but why would I spoil my main account suprice like that??

I like it because it encourages me to try new things while I break the game over my knee 😊

Also getting to reexperience the early game is really nice, especially without having to pay for another full account 😅

It's not just double XP. It's 16x XP and 32x combat XP. Plus playing a game I have thousands of hours on in entirely different ways. Mostly I work alot and don't have time to play RS like I did years ago. It's very nice to be completing end game content like TOA or TOB in a matter of days instead of years.

I actually agree with you. Comparing it to a private server is really accurate. I decided before Leagues that I wouldn’t be playing, and even though it does look fun, I just can’t imagine myself pouring dozens of hours into an account that will literally just be deleted.

The tasks teach me so much about the game. I unfortunately play the game on the GE and buy BIS meta and ignore everything else.

It also lets me learn content through training wheels. For example, I've gotten good at praying The Nightmare, and it was so low effort to learn all the mechanics

It gives you in game osrs stuff that you actually have to work for instead of pay for and its the way games should add skins and other cool changes.

It’s a nice break from the slow grind and is a lot of fun.

I’m a casual player, my account is old. I watch the videos of it, I think it’s fun. But, I’m a dad with two kids and a full time job. Some nights I only have time for one slayer task and if it’s a boss task or killing a boss instead of a monster that’ll last a week. It literally is xp waste to me.

Also the reason people don't want xp multipliers in the main game is that it devalues the grinds people took prior to that change which will feel pretty bad to a majority of players

Leagues and RS3 is not a solid comparison. It's a temporary gamemode where you face some limitations in favor of playing with broken builds/relics. It's a fun break. Totally understand not wanting to play but it's worth a shot to just see if it's for you. Main game will still be there when you get done with leagues haha

I love how offended everyone is over an opinion. Personally I'm not a fan of doing things for no reason. Yea cool, you get a few cosmetic items in the main game from it, but it eventually goes to the ge anyways. Spending hours and days grinding the same quests I've already done 5 times, or re leveling skills I'm already maxed in, to fight bosses I've got hundreds of kc in, to get things I already have, all for it to go away in a month is so dumb to me. Most the people that like leagues are players that have never gotten more than 85cb, and 600 total lvl. When it's all over they're back to begging at the ge, complaining about how hard it is to make gp.
When they release official private servers I'll probably play that as a nice break, but only because it's not gunna be "the same game but faster", and doesn't disappear when it's all said and done.

In my opinion which I’ve played osrs for 8k hours. Leagues is more fun. I quit playing awhile back and I’m back cause of leagues. Whatever jagex is doing. IS working. Truth is though the achievement and feeling from those achievements in main game is unbeatable.

I understand your perspective I tried my first leagues this year and I agree with you but it’s a great way to learn chambers, inferno & other combat tasks with the combat masteries perks they have. I understand and respect your point tho it does all go to waste lol

Like, I get the appeal of going crazy in the game but I’d rather spend the time getting my main worked up. I’m trying to fulfill the wildest dreams 12 year old me had, but legitimately and through working hard on it
