Train Action On The Pokey Main In Iaeger, West Virginia
During VCURailfan15 and I's trip to West Virginia a few weeks ago, we treated the town of Iaeger as "home base" for the weekend, constantly returning ot the town to hang out along the busy Pocahontas District mainline. Good catches. Love the nighttime shots. It is still so sad what has become of Iaeger with the death of coal. I grew up in coal country in WV many decades ago along the B&O. Coal drag after another 6 days/nights per week. I used to fall asleep to the sound of the 5 nights per week 10:30 PM train passing near our neighborhood up the hill.
