Isn't one flex-arm enough?
ОтветитьAhhhhhh, there's always resistance when you try and put it in dry. A little lube always helps.
ОтветитьLove the freebie commercials can u ask for a sany forklift next
ОтветитьI think you can put it close to the milling machine and use it’s vice in place till you receive a new vice or vacuum holder.
ОтветитьIf you are going to make your living as a machinist the old shop was fine. - many of us love to watch you make chips and figure machine processes out. The new shop is OK if you are going to mostly give up machining and make your living with clicks and minutes watched. The new shop and all of this unboxing new tools leaves some us who have enjoyed your channel for years really out in the cold. Had you been doing this a few years ago I would never have subscribed. Decide what you wanna be.
ОтветитьAwesome machine, can’t wait to see you use it
ОтветитьThe paint's just pre-applied Loctite, lol
ОтветитьHiya Adam
ОтветитьThat's a mighty fancy "tap wrench" Looking good Adam.
ОтветитьI wonder how they tapped all those holes in the fixture plate. 😄😄😄😄
ОтветитьNice Adam. My man out here spending all the monies!
ОтветитьThis used to be a great machining channel, but it's really gone downhill this year. Too much of the content is Adam showing off his new (product placement) toys 😢
ОтветитьHopefully a nice kaeser screw compressor..
Ответить.
ОтветитьКлассный аппарат !!!
Ответитьhow does the pneumatic system keep the arm in place? only thing I can think of is maybe it's like a relief valve thing where it doesn't move unless the extra pressure from you pulling on it opens the valve enough
ОтветитьThose Flexarm's are wicked nice! No more (or very few) broken taps!
ОтветитьDarn Abom always making me want to bust out the check book
ОтветитьMade in USA and first thing you need to do is recut the threads ? Great quality….
Funny that you need to use a spanner to rotate the first segment … wouldn’t a proper handle on that screw be a better idea ?
And I hope you used a bit of grease on all these joints…
Not "made in USA", assembled - that's right
ОтветитьIts a nice piece of machinery.....
ОтветитьMonths and months of buying and setup buy no revenue is generated. Very nice shop and machines. I believe there designed to be used at some point. I think other employees could be generating dollars during the building process.
ОтветитьThe crane sure makes life better. Hope you have many hours of safe tapping.
ОтветитьHi Adam, Is there a way to mount the tap holder rack, from the bottom of the fixture plate ? So you would not have any obstruction's, if you had a large or oversized item ! Great video !!
ОтветитьQuality of that product is 10/10.
Love seeing your new shop coming together Abom.
Hi from Canada, love your new workshop, question: do some of your machinery in the old shop gunna join in the new workshop ? p.s. sorry for my writing i`m french
Ответитьcan not wait to see what you create in the new shop
ОтветитьBetween the dead cat on the mic and the quietness of the fan I can't even hear it, that's pretty nice cause it looks like that thing is moving serious air
ОтветитьMighty Abom79 lesss goooo 🎉
ОтветитьХорошая штуковина.
ОтветитьAdam you indicated that the flex arm would be close to the flag. get some clear plastic to put over the flag to keep it looking nice.
ОтветитьAll that unwrapping of tools must be hard work, haha. The Flex Arm was not a surprise, it is was just a matter of which one.
ОтветитьWhere's the "Includes paid promotion" banner that US regulations require?
ОтветитьI know people are complaining about the "paid promotion" content, but I have to say that as an engineer and hobby machinist Im fascinated by the idea of outfitting a shop from Greenfield to production. I go to a lot of auctions, and I have to say that the part I enjoy most is to be able to see some of these old shops just to see what equipment the pros are using, and how they have their production systems laid out. This is a free education for someone that wants to start their own shop.. What to do, what not to do. What equipment do you need. I really enjoy this channel...
ОтветитьGreat vid Adam and Abby, I love to see what the next NEW piece of equipment is. BTW, I had a Flex Arm when I was a kid.....the the doctor put a cast on it. LOL
ОтветитьLooks like the bots from Twitter are trying to make a new home with all the trolling going on
ОтветитьThat magnet is a great idea. Would you also need to indicate off of a dummy tool to verify 'truth'?
Ответитьis this a shop or just a showroom?
ОтветитьGreat video. Nice flex arm. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьGood knife u carry !!
ОтветитьChristmas in June! 🎄
Ответить.. thats not the only arm doing some flexing in that shop:P
ОтветитьThe bent box had a Fragile warning tag!
ОтветитьAdam, you should strongly consider installing your airline around your shop to make a connected "loop." That will improve your overall airflow to everywhere in your shop. We did that in several Shops at work and it really helped.
(Putting on the "OSHA hat" I earned during my ~38-year career while implementing what our Safety Office [equal to OSHA] recommended/required), you might also want to install a second 30-psig loop for blowing off chips and yourself since the full 100 to 120-ish psig can both damage your machines (blow chips under the wipers, etc.) and if you aren't already using "safety" nozzles, you could accidentally (worst case?) blow air right through your skin and put air bubbles into your bloodstream, which I was told can easily be fatal. I also discovered a safety air nozzle that not only blows as much as a regular nozzle, but cuts the noise level down by ~half, i.e., below where OSHA requires hearing protection. I'm not connected to them in any way, but their product solved a big noise problem I had with one of the Shops I supported before retirement -- Exair's "Super Air Nozzle™" worked wonders for the Shop and made life there and in the surrounding Shops & areas much better without mandatory wearing of (double) hearing protection all day.
I would like to work in your workshop
ОтветитьI'm glad Adam mentioned how thick the plate metal they used to build the cart was. I'll be honest, I thought it was a little flimsy looking even though it didn't behave flimsy looking at all. Now I know why. LOL
ОтветитьMy shop has this exact one, and it is incredible and very useful for offline sruff and really opens up machines to move jobs thru faster...
Ответитьhey man not sure if you'll see this comment but I actually assemble the flex arm drill and I was just curious how has the tool itself lasted now for over a year for you? Curious to see if you have run into any problems with them. Thanks!
ОтветитьCan you use it to fasten hex bolts or screws?
Ответить
