My theory about alien life is very simple.
Fear.
They all fear to meet a more hostile civilisation.
So what they are doing, is hidding themselves.
We should do the same and spread to at least two solar system in stealth and only After that we can talk to the other guys... So that if they destroy one of our world the two other that nobody know their location are safe. Only the first planet location will be known by the colonisers...

We are smart yet dumb, simple yet complex.

I feel like the guy who said humans are predicatble is quite wrong. Humans are unpredictable we love but at the same time destroy. We seek out adventure and exploration but at the same time fear the unknown... humans arent predictable.

I know I'm late, but I have 2 things to say:

1. If we were to stumble across some sort of alien race, what would they look like, and what do you think they would do, if they found what we did on our exploration of earth during the Renaissance era?

2. 2 games that very well portray how things COULD turn out, are: 1. Warhammer 40K and 2. Half Life 2, in Warhammer, we are the destroyers, killing anything that isn't human (with the exception of Beastmen, who are abhumans), and destroying entire worlds for seemingly no reason, and in Half Life 2, we are facing near extinction, due to the Universal Union putting up a field around Earth, that prevents humans from having children, and killing humans just to keep us in line, and life there SUCKS, to the point that there are only a handful of rebels, who up until Gordon Freeman shows up, have stayed in hiding, due to the fact that they will be publicly executed, and when Freeman does show up, it scares the Garrison Unit (that is very crappy for how the army of the Universal Union performs) SO MUCH that they send EVERYTHING they have at him, although it is in vain, as they all die, and keep in mind, the oceans are drained, pretty much every species (except for humans) are either extinct, or near extinct, and all of Earth's militaries were depleted in 7 HOURS, so that's the end of humanity as they know it, either way, it'd be best if we just stayed low, and didn't interact with the universe until we were SURE that we could beat an alien race, or invasion

Why do aliens always have to be an advanced species? Where the single cell organizims?

As much as I don’t believe in little green men or aliens if you like I do believe there is intelligent life elsewhere. I also believe that intelligent life is avoiding us as we as a species are too dangerous and too stupid to be contacted. My argument being you only have to look at the history of the human race to see why. It often surprises me that we have survived as a species especially when you look at the behaviour of the human race over the last 200 odd years and our efforts to exterminate each other in that time.

Throwing this out there—
Why do so many talk about humans developing by leaving Africa? Interesting line to draw.
First, that is one huge and varied landmass. Lots of exploring must have been going on there. Some of humanity did not leave that first continent. There are clearly riches in what was explored right there. Nuances that the travelers can’t start to get to for generations, if.
Consider human relations and other aspects of being human that could be developed more deeply while people had stability of place and social networks and didn’t have to be preoccupied with survival in novel environments.
I’m just thinking. People don’t stay static / something’s always cooking in our beings.

The idea of Biological Humanity living in a largely “post-biological universe” where AI life is now predominant, is interesting. Steven Dick, a former Chief in NASA, speculated on this concept saying. 'Given the age of the Universe, we could easily be living in a largely post-biological Universe that is predominately populated by immortal thinking machines'.

What if all, most, or some aliens are just like us for the most part and the only thing that changes is the level of technology they have.

But what if the aliens have been around for a shorter period of time than us? Everybody assumes that if we discover aliens, they'll be smarter and more advanced, but that may not be true.

How is it aliens are considered smarter, but they're always naked?

I think that aliens are definitely real. In actual fact. But if they are light years away thrn they couldn't see our planet as it is today.

So Life as we know of on Earth is very hard and rare, a red dwarf forget about it, to close, to hot and tidally locked, in the right spot its nice but still tidally locked, when it can rotate, but to cold. A Orange Dwarf is far better, not nearly as hyperactive as a redwarf, more stable then a Yellow dwarf. A Yellow dwarf is good, as we seen it now but if the sun is a red giant, Earth would thrown out of our solar system, or its getting a new ''cold orbit'' or its getting like mecury today. Rather getting trown out or getting a cold orbit then swalloed.
Edit: Life could exist but may not technological.

Humans are semi-evolved and have been effected by years of dysgenics since the industrial revolution.

We even want to explore human bodies

Humans are definitely not an advanced species. Other civilizations definitely exist, and based on what they have observed, they know to either cloak themselves away from our sight, or more likely, they stay light years away. Who in their right mind would want to visit a planet where so many humans (higher apes) are at war with each other???
