I love the Wabi Sabi design elements incorporated into the modern architecture as long as it's not overpowering but kept simple and uncluttered. It really adds warmth and flow to the home. It's a more natural approach and creates a connection between the indoors and the outdoors for those who like that kind of balance. Some of these designs were very well done while others were a bit much.

In this world the people have only furniture and only 4 books to cover the red wine stains on the expensive table. All The rest of the belongings are in the totally messy living room that is never shown ;)

In Japanese architecture, wood is coated with lacquer, so all lattices and other parts of the building are black. And even the poorest of the poor used indigo-dyed fabrics traditionally, becauz raw fabrics are unhygienic. Black, white (washi paper), and indigo-blue are the color themes of Japanese culture. So why do so many people use natural colors to express Japanese culture? I think it is completely due to the brand image of "MUJI/無印良品". Everyone loves "MUJI/無印良品" products...

改めて自分の考える『侘び寂び』とは.｡oO🤔

古典的な考えとして…

とても質素でミニマルな姿勢で、格式を下げて、まさに「不完全な美」を慈しむ態度にあります(⁎ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈⁎)


「不完全な美」とは格式高く完全に整ったモノでは無く、

欠け、傷、無骨、錆び…共通するのは不完全です。

そこから滲み出る時間の経過などの営みを感じ、物が持つ様々な物語を、深い慈愛を感じる事と理解しています.｡oO


現代に於いて古典的な"表面的"「侘び寂び(wabisabi)」は失われつつありますが、

日本人にとっておそらく侘び寂びの精神は根本に染み付いていて、

例えば…日本人でも「シンメトリー」な感覚は基本でありとても美しく落ち着きを感じるのですが😅

どうしてもシンメトリーを崩す事にも落ち着きを感じ「ズレ」を求める傾向にあります•*¨*•.¸¸🌈✨

【wabi】とは「ズレ」や「不完全」であり、

【sabi】とは「滅び行く様を慈しむ美学」と考えています。


以上の『侘び寂び(wabisabi)感覚』を持ちながら動画を拝見させて頂きました•*¨*•.¸¸♬︎


個人的で自分なりに四半世紀考え続けた"現時点"で思うwabisabi感で、

日本人全てが同じ感覚かどうかは分かりません.｡oஇ
