JayB's Sound Set for Korg X5D (X5, 05R/W, X5DR) [Trance, Progressive, House, EDM]

thanks for sharing ... please help ... When downloading only the JAYB.X5 and JayB_X5D.syx files were found ... it does not contain the .mid file ... According to the manual I should open JAYB.X5 but the file found did not lets run as program ... thanks for the help.

Can anyone let me know which Midi Control change parameter controls the Resonance/ Filter in the X5DR like JayB is doing? Is it 72,73 or 74? Or somewhere else?

Ever considered getting a Korg Wavestate? Yeah, it only has 3 octaves, but I have a feeling you could bust open its capabilities and make a super nice soundset for it

This is a synth I think we slept on back in the day... Some of these sounds were what I bought an Access Virus for. I thought that the Trinity/X5D synths were like the Roland XP-80 synths of the same era that were just ROMplers with some occasional magic. Very well done mate.

In few days i will become a owner of X5D and first thing I doing (after buying better MIDI interface after reading your note) is download your presets pack :) (your video made me chose a X5D instead Yamaha DX27)

Purchased an X5D in 1997. Loaded JayBs sounds with original editor and still having fun with this Korg twenty five years later.

My affair with music making finished up with a SoundBlaster AWE32 and Presto Arranger remixing MIDI tracks using soundfonts I downloaded back in 1998 when I was 16. I love your stuff JB. I'm going to get back into it using the X5D. Can't wait to play with your sound sets.

I turned off the aftertoach on 05rw, the sound became better. Probably my previous comparison with x5dr is not correct. On x5dr I played immediately without aftertoach. There the filter from aftertoach spoils the whole process. I have several versions of SYSEX banks JayB_X5D.syx >> 2020, 2018, and it seems 2014 .... so the oldest bank contains the most combis (43).. such as ItaloBrass, Dolphins, DimensionY ... why are they not in the new banks? And why are there fewer combis in the new banks?

I nearly bought this back in 1998. It was my first experience playing high quality synths. Brilliant sound set as always. Buy a keyboard that jayB has done a sound set for.

When I multitrack these sounds using Cubase I use mulit mode on the Korg X5D these awesome sounds loose some of their great power and intensity. Does anyone know what to do to use the sounds in mulit mode but keep the intensity?
