Love that you guys reacted to this show, I hope you guys finish the season. It genuinely is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. After you’ve finished the show, you should watch the movie The Haunting (1999) with Owen Wilson and Liam Neeson. It’s a movie adaptation of the same story but there’s quiet a few changes from the show. 👍🏼

I struggled to get through The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor.

I believe that Mike Flanagan’s peak production and directing was “Midnight Mass” it’s a beautiful piece! I didn’t get the same feeling from the other two.

This and the Haunting of Bly Manor were absolute masterpieces 🔥

Story Time:
So my girlfriends and i like to go thrift shopping. We tend to like vintage and old styled things. One day at a Stm Vincents i found 3 gorgeous vintage night gowns,floor length, sheer kind with lace and matching overcoat that looks like it belongs in a victorian mansion.
The first one i wore was lavender and i had no issues.
The second one was white -arguably the prettiest of the three. I put it on one night and turned out the lights (i keep my room DARK). I laid down on my back and opened my eyes, had not even been a second, and i saw the silhouette of a woman floating parallel to me. All i could make out was that she had curly hair. She said either "Im mad" or "im sad" in this drawn out, dry voice that was just fucking haunting. All the air left my body with me saying "jesus fucking christ" leaping out of my bed and hitting the lights before i could even finish saying it. I turned and no one was there. I put the gowns in a box in the back of my closet and slept with the lights on for the first time in 20 years. Nothing has happened since theyve been boxed away 🙃
