Were you using an RCT ball? Would like to know how that affects the spin numbers. Would like to see the test along side the GC quad .

This is a really nice improvement but I don’t think it will replace my SQUARE. No SIM putting and I have to wonder about chipping since you did not show that, both of which are top notch on the SQUARE. You can’t take the SQUARE outside to the range but I always question why anyone would do that if they went thru the effort and expense to build an indoor range. You probably should list the 5 courses you get on E6 for folks that are thinking of using that feature.

Seems like its ball speed readings are a little hot. 1.34 smash factor on a PW is high.

the reason it is underrated is because Voice caddie promised it would add side spin to original which it never did. Then they released essentially the same hardware with new software screwing over those who bought the first one. A lot of people don't trust them.

I had one of these and for the life of me, I could not get it to read any of my shots at my local range. It read every 10 shots and when it did read it seemed quite accurate. I was so hyped to have the screen and everything since I was coming from an old R10. But sadly I was never able to get it to work at my local range so I went back to the R10. I will also say, Voice Caddie help was great with trying to get it to work. Just wasn’t meant to be I suppose

You should post a side by side with your BLP at the range to see how accurate the SC4 really is.

Gabe..for indoors use can you connect the SC 4 pro up to a larget TV screen on the wall? If so what cables are needed...

I returned mine. It was not possible to save data if you don’t connect the app during a practice session. I want something that doesn’t require me to connect a phone, but be able to review the practice session later. Texas heat makes a phone useless during the summer.

Too many “feels like then number” and not enough of you comparing shot for shot with and higher end LM. I like your content but this doesn’t cut it.

I've had an SC4 for about two years, but it doesn't include the Pro package. I'm curious if I'd be able to ugrade with a download. I especially like the range graphics that the Pro offers. I've really used my older model quite a lot and like it.

Yes I think we would all love to see how it stacks up against the GC Quad.
I think the SC4 Pro EXTRAPOLATES from the algorithm it has within it and doesn't actually read the ball. It sees the speed and a quick angle, and then GUESSES what the result would be based on the data is has inside it.
I have found the SPIN rates on the driver quite off like you see here. Almost double, if not more, than it actually is.
You also didn't show the bit about setting the LOFT that you have to set for it to KNOW what it should be guessing based on the loft versus speed.
Decent machine, but once you do a side by side with a Quad, you will show how off it is with the driver. Accuracy should be paramount importance over everything else, after all.
Also - Voice Caddie has terrible customer support. They never answer.

They should add a high speed camera to it like the big boys. If that made it more accurate, which I imagine would be the case, it would be worth the extra $100. A Quad would be the ultimate, but those are WAY out of reach for most folks. This type of tech, radar and high speed cameras have been around long enough for it to be accurate and affordable for the masses IMO. Maybe someday....

Its still a dopplar. They are very good for the most part but will never offer what a camera based system does.

If Square keeps improving and updating at a rapid pace its the monitor that will own the “under $1000” market.

Does this launch monitor:
- work with Awesome Golf
- give angle of attack numbers (I’m trying to improve hitting up on my driver and getting shallower on my irons)

Looking at things different from my R10 and I like that it can measure swing speed without a ball - my R10 won’t do that, but the R10 measures angle of attack and works with Awesome Golf.

I'm so confused, there's a gc quad right next to you while you're hitting. Watched the whole video waiting for the comparison between SC4 and GC Quad.

This LM is designed to be taken to the range. (That's what I did with my SC300i). But range play means range balls, which produce seriously different results than hitting real balls. How is that addressed?

Those spin numbers are way off I feel. Would have liked to have attack angle. Would I buy it? No! There’s better out there for around the same cost.

Any idea if you can upgrade the firmware on the older SC4 to get these "pro" features?
