Cyclopods is defs not the plural of a Cyclops as Pod means foot so unless when 2 or more Cyclops gather they form a voltron like form that walks on its eyeballs then I guess Cyclopods isn't how u say it cuz that means One-Eyed-Feet

I had a dm run an NPC quest giver that was just chill cyclops dude living in a forest at the base of a mountain, guy was super chill, he would give quests like to deal with the "angry evil god" living up the mountain (just an antisocial wizard) or fight off an "army of demons" destroying his woods (some weird orcs cutting trees). Then we went to check on him one day and found an entire village of humans attacking him, thinking he destroyed their farms. The dm said he wasn't even fighting back he was just trying to get away :(

In the first campaign I played in we fought an aspect of a god an it barely did damage (did 0 damage to my ranger) and then the next day we were almost killed by 6 cyclopses

Do find the 5e cyclopse statblock kinda silly cause their poor depth perception trait gives them disadvantage on attack rolls against targets more than 30 feet away…while their one ranged weapon attack rock throw’s short range is 30 feet. So they would have disadvantage at that distance anyway because of their weapon.
