ОтветитьThe most important thing about protein is leucine content, which is what drives protein synthesis. Methionine content is also important! Your body can't make gluthathione or taurine without plenty of methionine in the diet.

Um, where's the lie on Nutrition facts? This guy is lying. Any claim of protein on a package must then present the protein as balanced essential amino acids. I worked product development for years. I would say, he should have asked someone who knows but he probably did so, that's why I call BS, simulacra.
ОтветитьBeen tracking everything going in my mouth for a week now. Protein need is super easy to achieve. Carbs/calories, I'm really struggling to get enough of. Gotta cut back on meat, increase oil and carbs. According to my fitbit, i need 2500-5000 calories a day for my minimal workout lifestyle. I only need 100g of protein but 10x as much dry carbs! So 4x is nothing that this guy complains about.

ОтветитьFar too dismissive of fasting. Fasting has more benefits than was discussed here, and is not just a round about way to lower calories. In my experience fasting does not mean loss of energy or metablic rate that you get when you restrict calories. Lowering the carbs and upping the fat means that you avoid the cravings and hunger. But after this I am going to think more about how much protein to include. But getting that 100g is going to be tough - that's like 17 eggs!!
