As other commenters pointed out, you would need to disable phantoms. But you would also need to build this in a desert or savanah, so you couldn't use a fire from a lightning strike to escape.

1. Kill the silverfish
2. Break the obsidian
3. Pick one: Wait 3 ingame days for phantoms to spawn; or, jump and run around until you start to stave.
4. Use those sources of damage to escape

1 Jump and look at Enderman
2 Obtain ender pearl
3 profit

For guys trying to escape this: downgrade your version to minecraft oneblockatatime update. Take the silverfish with you and mine the slab. After placing down the slab somewhere else, put the silverfish back down. Update your version to the current version and let the silverfish hurt you to jump 1.5 blocks. GG

1 . Just place the obsidian down and escape 2. Log on to a new account and join

press F3 and look at your angle (the left number in the brackets to the right of your cardinal direction).
Make that number be 0.1 higher to the right than facing straight.
Place a boat in front of you while holding that angle.
Get into the boat and leave the boat right after.
Now go up to the block setup described earlier and stand on the slab facing and standing right up to the wall you want to jump up to.
Tap s very shortly (1ust s/uS).
Go into your options, controls, mouse settings and set whatever you have to yawn.
Now tap your right arrow key 32 times and leave the menu.
Look at your angle again and move your mouse extremely sightly to the left so that it says -0.0° or equivalent respective to your former facing.
Tap w very shortly without sprinting (1ust w/uW).
Hold sprint/activate toggle sprint and hold forward then 0.05 seconds later jump aka. a hh timing.

you should now have performed a 1.5b high jump

The boat is only used to get a precise angle and is otherwise not necessary if you use cinematic camera to achieve the same angle difference

You can jump 1.5 blocks out by standing on the slab then sprint jumping in the direction of the bed. Easy
