... but ... the facsimiles published as canon in the Pearl of Great Price link the surviving fragments directly to the BoA. Mormonism has trapped itself in the cage of its own fixation on historicity and scriptural literalism. 

I love the wonderful closing statement he makes beginning around the 45 minute mark. Eloquent, entertaining and enlightening for the faithful!

If I was an LDS member and knew not much about this subject which are most, I would only catch the jist that as usuall people are hating on the prophet. Then I’d recite the LDS mantra...TRUE!! TRUE!!

1/2 the members don’t care about the historicity of the Pearl of Great a Price. Also, why as a member wouldn’t I believe the papyri that is shown in the PofGP in the facsimiles and then referred to in the canon. The laughs in the audience during this presentation are from those in the great and spacious building.
