If there ever was a fish that took speed.....

I debated wether to upload this video at all as they wouldn't stay still long enough to focus.

I think my giant danios are one of the better purchases I made.They were marked up as congo tetra and I knew they werent so bought them.

blah...I have one that the fish store gave me for FREE that was sitting in a tank of other fish..now I know why! He is soooo hyper! It makes the other fishy frantic and me..I feel unsettled or anxious just seeing or hearing him. Had to move him into another tank. A school of them like this would be neat though. They are the most hardy fish I've ever seen!

Thanks for watching. Usually a larger shoal would get less freakouts and they like well planted areas and a bit of shade.

They scatter eggs so having a bed of marbles under them is a good way to stop them eating the eggs and giving them a chance to hatch.

I'm amazed you could focus on them. This isn't one of my better videos...

I love these fish because there so active and fun to watch-I plan on getting a school of 20 or more in my new 110 gallon aquarium!

Their energy levels are amazing. Bit like Chev Chelios in the Crank films.....

In a small open tank they will freak out like this, we moved them to a larger tank and they calmed down. A bit. They will always shoal but not necessarily at such speed.

These Danios look just like the ones i bought yesterday!(Silver Danios?) I got two, and two Leopard Danios to go with my three Zebra ones at home. The silver ones are very hyper, one actually seems like a bit of a bully, just by watching it. Its quite big, i wonder if it's full of eggs...

I just adopted two adult Giant Danios and was wondering how to distinguish between male and female?

At first Giant Danios are super hyper, but when they settle in they calm down a lot. Always very active and hungry though... that's why I love them. I have a 55 gal. tank dedicated to a school of about 2 dozen of them and nothing else. They are beautiful amazing fish.

Thats what I like to see in a tank. A decent shoal of one species. Looks way better than a Noah's Ark. Nice one, man.
