Abyssos - Banquet in the Dark

The funny thing about this band is that they were on the same record label as CoF when they released their Vempire album before moving to Music for Nations on Dusk and Her Embrace. I've always wanted to buy an album, but don't know where to look. Also, NCCAJAX, I spammed all of your useless drivel comments. Thanks for giving this awesome band so many views :D.

Well imo that Fhinsthanian Nighbreed album is better than CoF back then (pre Midian era CoF was okay tho). But well, each to their own, I'm not going to argue about it.

I love this band! There`s a guitar that dont sounds as loud as it should be. Beautiful melodies and harmonies. I do not think that this is black metal at all. ABYSSOS sounds so swedish, good as DISSECTION. Great song!

best bands in the world comes from scandinavia (Norge, Sverige and Suomi/Finland)

i think the beautiful melodies and harmonies are what make it very much black metal. the most innovative black metal bands were the ones that blended melody into their music. this is all strictly IMHO. great song by a great band

@fa272 Because they aimed (and deserved) to be great,but they didn't get the popularity and decided (or were forced to) to give up. 90's were harsh. The best era of Humanity ... :)

Nobody talking about how great the riffs this band wrote were? It boggles my mind they didn't end up as big as Cradle of FIlth given they are of a similar style aesthetically and somewhat musically.

This is a band with great music , it's too early for them to quit this band , can give some awesome music and songs , these guys are magnificent, wish they produced some more albums, was crazy for this band when I first listened to them in the late 90's 😢
