ОтветитьThe Union Pacific rr "big boy" class is one of my personal favorite types of articulated steam locomotives, I loved the film "Last of the Giants" when I was younger and I have been interested in the UP big boy locomotives ever since. I am pleased that the UP steam crew was able to restore locomotive 4014 back into operation back in 2019, which many people thought that seeing a "big boy" locomotive return to service again was nearly impossible. It is great to see locomotive 4014 back in operation again, also since it's rebuild was completed and converted to fuel oil from coal firing engine 4014 now produces a tractive effort of 138,240 lbf as this measurement is mentioned from Wikipedia.

ОтветитьVideo does no do it justice. You have to see it in person, should you ever get the chance.

ОтветитьThe PRR T1 is making a comeback under the T1 trust, an organization that is building a T1 from the ground up using the existing schematics and prints of the original designers.
