I did the same in 1991 during the gulf war. They gave me airborne school right after Basic. I was a rigger and we didn’t have unit patches. There were 500~ in B co 507th. We had to pass Abn school for the MoS. They must have thought we were super secret Spec Ops. 😂 we can tie knots!!!
