It was clear the caller was chasing something and would have folded no matter what but if he had a middle pair or pocket pair that was on the board he might have bet on something small. Unless he's a maniac he's not calling unless he also had a king.

Sorry but I would do the opposite. If you bet small a lot of times they will call just to see your hand and keep you honest. So if you're bluffing you want to bet big to get them to fold. If you have value then bet small to make some extra cash, or bet big to play it safe.

Only thing villain is beating there is a bluff. You should have all the Kings in your range. As played he probably doesn’t have 99-AA. There isn’t much that can or should call here outside the case K which is unlikely. 1/2-3/4 pot makes more sense to me depending on opponent because getting called a few times makes up for the 1 time you get called with KQ or KJ. Since most massive overbets in low stakes poker really do come across as the nuts a lot of the time.
