I still think the original Sega Mark 3 version of Phantasy Star alone had a better sound chip than 100% of every Mega Drive game...

I don't... The Mark 3's music in Phantasy Star was good, though I like the "inferior" tech chip's music equally, but the Mark 3's sound effects were just weak.

I think remake version is better, Because sounds more pretty.

Same reason Phantasy Star 2 didn't give Mother Brain her own unique theme either - storage limits. PS2 was already pushing the limits of a Genesis cartridge at the time. They could only fit so much graphics and music onto the cart before space ran out. PS1 seemed to have more but it was also simpler graphics and 8-bit music, and all the dungeons were the same re-colored corridors over and over again. Which saved some space.

Love how Dark Falz can hit you with only 8 HP with one attack and then follow up with a 95 HP attack.

Thank you PSO2 for refreshing my mind of the OG games. I love how this beast has been a mainstay for most of the series.

fun fact; they put two Dark Force/Falz ontop of each other. it's why Dark force is able to attack twice.

I honestly didn’t notice that the main character from PSII is dreaming about this exact fight at the start of that game. It’s cathartic how he’s saddened by the fact he awakes whenever the battles reaches its climax.
