So You Want to Buy a Business...Here's What You Need to Know Next

I am beginning my search for a business. I am trying to follow the opportunities that are showing on the market while I start outreach to brokers. One question I am trying to answer is whether I should only be looking in close proximity to where I live? I have a family that is gaining roots where we are and I don't necessarily want to uproot if we don't have to. Do many AE's looking for businesses limit opportunities to only immediate areas they are located in? I wonder what limitations may hinder trying to purchase outside of my near geographic area.
