I think they shouldve felt out the fight, ult tracking perfectly is pretty hard and i see a lot of good from delaying even by 2-3 seconds so there is enough time after the enemy ult ends to clean up kills and win the fight. Unless they clearly have 2 sup ults and you only have 1.

This was my problem at first too. I just couldn't let these idiots die, and if I didn't try and match the enemy advantage with my own, even if it was suboptimal, when I had it, I was throwing. I'd overextend and then get deleted and then we'd lose teamfights because we were fown a support. I still sympathize however. If you don't heal everyone all the time you get flamed for it. The most common complain I heard about supports during this whole support strike debacle is how "supports don't even do their jobs" and if we do this every game, that seems to validate their point. Obviously, the thing is chalked up to overall toxicity more than anything else, and Coach is right. I just wish the dps knew this. Sometimes they gotta die because sometimes they fucked up.

And sometimes, SOMETIMES. I smile when I watch a wildly out of position MK gets deleted by the enemy Hulk that I couldn't have saved anyway because doing so would have cost us the game, and then winning without them.

Your invis ult is bad you're all at full hp and you can wait a few seconds so that ults don't basically cancel out. If she has held it longer to cancel out dps ults and keep people alive instead of mindlessly ulting cuz of their invis ult. Correct right decision not ult atleasr til other invis women ult ends or when needed. It purely wasn't needed.

The Feint fight concept is hard for a lot of people because they don't have forward thinking skills. Hero shooter games are about ult advantage and resource management primarily.

i hate when i am about to ult as loki, and my support dies or moves so erratic that i steal the wrong ult and just everything leads to me taking longer and the longer it takes, the more risky it gets, or i have a jeff as second heal and i die trying to copy enemy lunas ult.... so much that goes wrong sometimes, or my hulk suddenly jumps infront of me wanting heals when i am about to copy the luna ult and now im hulk and i cant remap the ult buttons, double stick input is just so stupid on controller

As a hardstuck bronze/silver support player, I need all the help I can get. This is actually very useful information, and the format you used helped me understand. Admittedly, I'm still learning to track ultimates, but this still helps. I have a bad habit of immediately ulting to either counter the enemy support ult or save myself to hold the point, which (in my experience) has a 50% chance of backfiring HARD. Great video, would love more!

Why Wouldn't it be better to disengage and gide behind the corner so that the enemy has to go out of the ult to hit you, wait it out and then push with your invisible barrier?

Ults, in my mind, are for gaining an advantage. 6v6 to 6v5, 6v4, etc. Saving the support ult for the next fight would likely have been better.

So looking at that ult.. i see wasted potential. The enemy ulted back a bit giving you room to keep pushing forward and not be in the enemy ult. Had they waited, there might be a moment after where their ult could save the game. Now you wont have it if things get sketchy..

Paused vid, offensive ult is bad cause:

1, proximity for offense, just took point, why waste ult and gain so little value, spawn is like 3 seconds away.

2, yes its man advantage, but 50/50 the chance by negating the defense support ult. I like to wait at least until someone is near death to ult to gain max value. It’s a pet peeve of mine when I see sup ults stacking cause they hear the opposing sup ults starting

I have been screaming this from the roof tops, like a valid reason to healer ult is not an enemy healer ult in itself. I always feel like my ult means so much more if I can push through their healer ult then pop mine after or right at the end and bam we now just took control of the fight and I destroyed their ult in a sense.

Using a healing support ult to match the opponents healing support ult is never the best use of that ult. You gain no advantage and at best only stop an offensive push that was already being tied pre-ult. Waiting out the opponents Invisible woman ult and turtling up for a few seconds is the best course of action imo.

Your dont need to let your team die, they just need to reposition at least until the enemy support ult is finished.

Then you proceeded to make a video hinting it was a support mistake 😂. Am I missing something here?

Honestly that's the skill gap for supports. Mechanically, I don't believe they are the most difficult role (an argument can be made for aim with Mantis and Adam, but every role benefits from aim). But the in game sense to be able to know who to focus heal, when to focus heal, when to sacrifice a teammate, and when to hard push with them is very difficult.

Yes ulting near the spawn is most of the times bad. But if your team is not winning any fights at all and not getting past the chokepoint, then I do ult because that's the best you can do as a support. When teammates are bad you need to push them out sometimes.

Ответить
@AgentFPS

No need to counter support ult when you are up 1 in the fight and the ult isn't even on the payload. Simply save your ult, to secure the next team fight and the win because the other team will have 1 supp ult at most to your team's 2. Guaranteed win if you save it. The spawn being 100 ft behind the payload compared to the enemy spawn being a mile away is yet another reason that there is ZERO need to waste an invisible woman ult as a counter ult, when you can use it offensively 1 min later to secure the victory.

One thing i see alot is support players heal botting CONSTANTLY, there's a time for healing and there's time to help with damage, not enough support players know the time to switch from heal botting to damaging and it causes alot of team fight to go one sided because one side is correctly switching between both and the other isn't.

any good support player knows the counter invis ult at that moment is a throw. when 6v5 the enemy got pressured to defensive ult guess what now the team can just pull back a bit and re-enegage, congratulations you just guaranteed the next fight because you forced out the enemy defensive ult while you are up one, then there is the position of the ult relative to the pay load, if you want to counter ult there you need to counter ult a bit delayed after the enemy invis ult (at least 5 seconds or more) or if the payload actually begins to enter the enemy invis ult and you can't apply pressure anymore (assuming the team wants to apply pressure.

edit: continued watching and heard you said just let your teammates die, the thing is if played correctly noone even needs to die, just back up and disengage and invis's ult effectively does nothing. I'd even say the enemy invis ult was bad in terms of position even.

About 40% of my hours are on support. This would have 60/40 in favor of not using the ult because of how much time we have and the fact that our spawn is right there. That said, there's no reason for me to believe that we're somehow losing a 6v5 with matching support ults. I think of a lot of support players just wouldn't foresee that happening, so that ult is justifiable. If there was under 30 seconds then I heavily lean into using the ult like they did. And even when I want to match ults, I still try to wait roughly 4 seconds with the hope that those 4 seconds give us an advantage once the other ult wears off.

One wildcard factor here is that the other Loki has his ult. Even if we hold ours, his could come into play and help them stall anyway.

I disagree with the ult because the team was up a player for at least 15-20 more seconds, which should be enough time to get 1 more pick and stagger them. Also nobody was in immediate danger of dying.

1. It's a defensive only ult and nobody is in danger of dying
2. Proximity advantage to your own spawn.
3. They ulted off the point and you can just wait it out
4. Save it for support ult advantage

If you're gonna mirror support ults, you should at least wait a couple seconds (unless your teammates are close to dying). Also in this case the team has one more player and is close to spawn so you can likely wait until the ult ends before you use yours. Invis ult can even create space for the cart to move forward, but not if you immediately mirror another invis ult because both teams are safe to stay on cart at that point
