Doesnt the senate never go on recess? Dont they hold these fake sittings every now and then so they dont officially go on recess? CGP Grey talked about it in his video about the SCOTUS and how judges are appointed to it.

Racial equity in education has turned into discrimination against white and Asian people. As a part indigenous person trying to get into med school I hear all the time from my colleagues “you got I easy, if I was native I would just stop studying and still get in” which 1 makes me feel bad because if I do get in people will just attribute it to my race and not my hard work. And 2 they might be right. I have experienced the double standard given to indigenous people from a lower admission average requirement (85% for white and Asian vs 73% for indigenous or black) and I’ve seen it in job opportunities where (I didn’t realize this before hand) the summer job I worked was legitimately only available for those with indigenous heritage, (they wouldn’t even hire employees kids). So even though it is something I can take advantage of I know so many people who are potentially better candidates are being pushed aside because of their race which I think is wrong.

Ah! Ah! Ah! A recess appointment doesn't matter right now with how the Senate is doing things. They only need a meeting I think every 3 days and unless a roll call is called, they assume everyone is there. So, they're basically always on vacation to prevent recess appointment because they bypass the recess.
