I really hope that Nougat (7.1.2) or LineageOS 14 will work with these devices. If it does, that means a Halium port can be made to get the phone up and running on Ubuntu Touch xD.

Even better if someone can get Android 9 or 10 LineageOS running for the "easier time" porting via newer versions of Halium.

how about usability? Can you make phone calls after upgrading to 6.01? Mine is Slim 4.4.4 apparently above this Android version the phone isn't that smooth/fluid and some functionality is lost or not practical.

Your files have seemed to work nicely! I noticed my S1 was much slower to complete the steps than yours though. But in the end I got it booting into Android 6! yeay 🙂 But now I'm wondering how to install some apps.... The browser doesn't seem to be able to store files. All downloads keep being queued.... 😞 Any idea?

What are the more noteable benefits of upgrading? I like the old UI much more and dont really use the phone for anything too important.
