Judge Destroys New York's Concealed Carry Ban on Private Property - Is Your Right to Carry Restored?

This case deals with carrying in a private place open to the public. To me the bigger issue in NY is the ban on carrying in many PUBLIC places open to the public (like state parks and public transportation). Where is that case? That is a way bigger issue.

All of NY yes. I would be afraid to carry outside of my house because who the hell knows where it’s legal. NY Keeps illegally making unconstitutional laws against the 2nd amendment. Yes I would say most, probably all licensed gun carriers know that you will loose the RIGHT to carry for breaking the law. So not only do you only get a pistol permit unless you have no criminal background, you stay that way because you don’t want to loose your RIGHT to carry. So if you allowed more carry permits would that lower crime??? The hardcore criminals don’t carry legally.

You hit the nail on the head, it’s not a legitimate legal decision, it’s a emotional decision, NYS is a Democrat state their ideology is against the US Constitution in many ways. I spent greater than 50 years living in New York. I never felt safer. Especially in those states that allow concealed carry . New Yorkers do not want guns on their streets and guess what, it’s their city.

The Democrats only want the invading army to have guns in NY.

Didn’t this law get beat down by SCOTUS. I heard the argument NYC tried that it was precedent not allowing CCW especially sensitive locations, which was everywhere where there were lots of people or potential for something to go wrong.

I don't understand why I had to get my carrying permit in NYC when I already got my NJ permit.

I've lived in NYC my whole life. I've come to the conclusion that they'd rather you be a victim, than protect yourself.

I’ve been telling people for quite a while stay away from New York City especially when you are traveling through airport JFK LaGuardia and Newark liberty New Jersey, you can have your firearm seal do everything TSA tells you to do authority will confiscate your firearm and put you in jail. Don’t go anywhere near those two cities.
