Pythagorus wasn't afraid of beans. Come on. When he warned people to stay away from "beans" he didn't mean not to eat them. In those days people voted with beans. Each person would be given a bean and they would vote which person they wanted by putting the bean in one jar or the other. Pythagorus was saying to stay away from politics, not beans. I was obsessed with this video when it came out 12 years ago. I was only 11! Now I'm an 8th grade math teacher very tempted to show it to my students when we start discussing the Pythagorean theorem later this module.
