Putin was given faulty intel re both Ukr and also on capability of his Russian army. The faulty BTG based attack achieved little in initial days. As a result 3to4 days of SMO has turned into 3to4 years already with no end in sight.

Reports are they had to move resources from Donbass to support Kursk and now they are losing the very stratigic grounds quickly in Donbass. So, what Ukraine did is very questionable as they do not have enough solders to defend all areas but yet they just opened another front... Was it a smart move? Not really, maybe just to make some news but other than that.... we will see in several days.
