very nice! would like to know what the pipe was made out of
ОтветитьWenn man mir etwas sagen möchte, muss man mir keine Rätselhaften Werbungen schicken.
Mir schreiben, oder mich anrufen. So ist das heute.
Simple , efficace et ingénieux !!👍👍
ОтветитьMany thanks for making this video. I wanted to construct a Viking era table sand forge, but could not find a decent schematic. This is basically what you have constructed, so now I can see how to make one myself.
Great work, thank you again.
Regards, Keith. (Subscribed).
Goog job!
ОтветитьI'm assuming that vacuum cleaner had a blow feature and you weren't sucking? What's coke by the way?
ОтветитьAll hail tubal caine
ОтветитьThat's really cool... I was worried about it being in a wooden box.. great work. 😊
ОтветитьДурне діло, не хитре.😊😊.
ОтветитьGRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS
Ответитьi just built myself a similar forge like this. currently i forge with charcoal and this is ... okay i guess. But i wonder where i can get coke in Sweden in smaller quantities? (since it is just a hobby). appreciate your videos.
ОтветитьVery instructive
ОтветитьThis is a great Inspiration! But, please dont use natural Stones, they could contain water and if they heated, the water will expand and the stone can explode! Very dangerous!
ОтветитьPretty cool! I know you only need a few things to start blacksmithing but that is some neat improvising. I might try that.
ОтветитьAwesome idea..😊
ОтветитьIs that just coal, or charcoal or what?
ОтветитьМолодец 👍💋
ОтветитьNice work.
ОтветитьSnyggt jobbat. Bra diy projekt. Ska testa till våren.
ОтветитьBy far the best simple forge I’ve seen yet.
ОтветитьThank you ..👍
ОтветитьI have a question for a book I'm writing
My main character is in a survival situation, and he knows how to smelt iron. But he has no metal tools up to this point.
Could he use a stone as a makeshift hammer to forge iron tools?
PRODUCTION
ОтветитьAll that hauling of all that stuff? For that small of an item…..
ОтветитьInteresting idea. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat job. I like this set up!
ОтветитьRefractory brick (fire brick) would be best. I welded Rocket Stove, lined it wth refractory brick. It gets hot enough inside to melt steel. The brick is holding up very well after 5 years.
ОтветитьI want to build a simple forge and this video is the perfect primer. It contains all the basic information and answers all my questions. Thanks!
ОтветитьGetcha yourself an old car brake drum for a fire pot….it is heavy gage metal
ОтветитьThank you for this, for the longest time I was wondering how to build a gas forge, however this seems Just as effective and significantly cheaper too,
ОтветитьJust make sure what ever blower you are using can take the long term use
ОтветитьHa! I love it. I did the same when I was a kid, though I did it just directly in the ground! Vacuum cleaner and all!
ОтветитьIn the same vein as not using concrete blocks, anyone looking to try this should not use porous river rocks. They too have a tendency to kaboom when heated to high temperatures. Normal bricks work fine but fire bricks are worth the light investment even if you are strapped for cash and using a method similar to this one. Experiment, have fun, and be safe!
ОтветитьMan, thank you a thousand, I haven't made my forge yet, but I was going to make it out of bricks and earth, or with some cement. Thank you very much for warning us that concrete blocks explode.
ОтветитьEl mejor video ...sin cháchara, sin ruidos musicales, solo realidad de poder hacer forja con elementos fáciles de conseguir...excelente por la funcionalidad...gracias maestro...
ОтветитьSi se mezcla ladrillo triturado con cemento....mas agua , por supuesto...se logran unos buenos ladrillos refractarios....que aguantan hasta mas de 800°C ...espero aportar ....gracias
ОтветитьIt's great that it can be assembled and disassembled. Does it work with no problems so far? Any information about the box size and what machine the green blower you use is?
Thank you.
Using a hairdryer in place of a vacuum cleaner works, too.
Ответитьbut what if you have to heat up a part higher up on the rod?
Ответитьwhat type of metal for the pipe would work best
ОтветитьSo what type of metal would work best for the pipe?
ОтветитьI build it it worked fine thanks.
ОтветитьSecrets of the forge, revealed! Thank you for sharing your experience with the world.
ОтветитьI love this video but can someone explain to me how the wooden box doesn’t catch fire?
ОтветитьI like this too because you can build it longer if you wish. Thanks for the idea
Ответитьwhat firebricks do i use? are they all the same? help!
ОтветитьThank you for not speaking. Its annoying when someone explains the process going on.
ОтветитьMuh new BBQ!
ОтветитьWhat’s the measurements of the side boards sir width and length
Ответитьi made my self a viking style forge with 2 bellows, its aktualy impresive how well it heats, when i need to cheat i use a blower 12v from a old volvo 140 i had laying on the shelf
