So the other repair shop didn't test the laptop with the benché power supply?

I'm wondering if the wires from the bios battery touched something to cause the fault since the battery is 3V?

I like how Sorin is calling Acer Nitro 5 a nice laptop, because half of his income is from this model repairs, ofc it is a nice laptop for him 😄

Acer got he name right on this model. Just the wrong definition. Instead of Nitro meaning "speed boost" they chose "explosive".

Sorin, With both a dead battery and then unplugging the battery for the chip replacement the bios would need to be reloaded. The customer probably didn't wait for the reload and assumed that the laptop was dead.

Was the battery under charged/too low to do anything, charged enough to help it start? Does this laptop require the battery to be working to let the laptop start?
Touch pad could have been turned off in the computer settings.

Maybe it worth to ask customers send their charger along with the laptop. You will have a powerful charger in case you need it for the test. You can also check the customer's charger for faults.

Hey Sorin I'd do a little modification to the power supply to accept four wires (Kelvin connection), to be able to sense the voltage at the probes tips and push the exact current I want, not that difficult, and will still work with two cables like now, I'm sure you know how to do it but could give some hints.
