Buy 🇺🇲, BUY Ruger!
ОтветитьI have a newer G3. I see your rear slide is different than mine. The slide has a large cut out for the rear site mounting. Mine has a very small wedge fit cut-out for the small rear site
ОтветитьThe Ruger is a hell of a gun and the hammer fire is the way to go for this pistol the Ruger over the Glock 19 is something we’re seeing a ton. Your paying a lot extra to say I have a Glock. I like to say I have a Ruger! The Ruger American is a hell of a gun as well if your looking for something tough and can take more abuse than any other hand gun I seen great for military or law enforcement
ОтветитьWhoever designed that Ruger needs to be fired 😅
ОтветитьIt’s not a Glock.
ОтветитьIt’s the Taurus for me. I haven’t shot my g3 yet but I’m planning on putting 200 rounds through it.
ОтветитьTHat double strike was great for me, i bought some really cheap ammo during the pandemic and there have been many time ive had to double strike to make it pop
ОтветитьReliability in cheap guns has come a long way
Ответить.........Thanks for this review ! Looking at both of these
ОтветитьGet the security 9 guys, the Taurus feels terrible in the hand, its grip texture is way to rough, its trigger is ugly, its finish is ugly and even the barrel feed ramp is very bad for a gun. Yes it works but its just not a well designed pistol. I had it and sold it for a security 9 which is far better.
ОтветитьUSCCA here also. Stay safe. Great video. I carry the Security 9 and the LCP.
ОтветитьI have both. Got the Security 9 first and the G3 afterwards. The G3 is easier to rack the slide, better gip texture and has 17 round mags. But the bonus with the G3 is that it will accept Mec-Gar Sig P226 18 round and 20 round magazines without issue and function. That is a huge bonus for me seeing as I have two G3C's, G3, and a Tisas PX-9 Gen 3 Night Stalker. So four firearms that accept the same magazine. On my Security 9, I still cannot get the slide release to drop down or disengage. I have to pull the slide back. So NO GO in my book.
ОтветитьThank you very much, it's sad but I Israel we have no a seller of a Ruger parts
ОтветитьNovember 2023, Security 9 ~$330. And Ruger now makes a 17 rd mag for it. Good review. (PS 2023, things have gone south worldwide, the portal has been opened.) Stay well.
ОтветитьI have both, love them. Great video
Ответитьruger security 9 way better i have it love it
ОтветитьGreat video!! Thank you. I had the Ruger for my first pistol but now I'm leaning towards the Taurus.
ОтветитьI am going to buy the G3 as it comes with 3 mag and a lot of options for higher cap mags , up to a 32 round mag. I’ve seen in a couple places that the G3 will accept a Sig p229 in a pinch. Academy Sports seems to be the place with the best prices.
ОтветитьGreat video!
Ответитьgreat video. both guns are workable. as for carry insurance i have heard pros and cons on it. mostly that they find a way not to pay out as promised and that there really is not enough shooting/law suits out there to make the need of it worth it.. then there is the price, fine if you are not on a fixed income. will look into it somemore.
ОтветитьThank you for a great video! I have a Taurus G3c and was thinking of trading in my pew pew for the Security 9. Great detail and some of the things mentioned in the video made me initially go with Taurus. That said, I am holding fast with my G3c. Thank you again, and I appreciate your promoting USCCA, as I am a member as well. God bless, Long live the Republic, keep your heads on swivels, powder dry and watch your "6" Hooah
ОтветитьHeld several 9mm pistols before selecting the security 9, even some at higher price points. The Ruger just feels right in my hand. The only complaint I have is the slide release.
ОтветитьAt this point, you’re just paying extra for the Glock name. In my opinion I think Ruger and Taurus are both excellent guns, and they offer the same, if not, more things as the Glocks do for almost half the price. Sure, there’s not as much aftermarket stuff for them, but who really needs it on a pistol that will be stored in your night stand 97% of the time.
ОтветитьAre….Are you kidding me?
People needed an ENTIRE VIDEOS worth of debate to know if Taurus or Ruger is better?? 🤣 If anyone chooses the Taurus out of the two I’d be CONCERNED!!! I’d take a Hi Point over Taurus’s autoloaders…
Maybe they’ve gotten better but boy I sure ain’t risking a failure to find out!!!
Having shot both of these, ruger is miles better
ОтветитьLIKE THE JACKET
ОтветитьI’m just now (4/9/24) seeing this video. I’ve had my Taurus G3 ( first ever firearm) for 4 months now and every time I shoot it, I keep forgetting about trigger reset. So needless to say I still have some trigger learning to do, lol.
ОтветитьHavent even watched the schillio yet , but i can guarantee this putz says they are both great!
ОтветитьRUGER U.S.A.🇺🇲
ОтветитьUnlike Taurus. Ruger has excellent customer service.
ОтветитьDoes the G3 auto forward like the security 9
ОтветитьI've been thinking of getting a budget 9mm pistol, but am not interested in Hi-Point or SCCY junk, so the Security 9 and the G3 are my two finalists. Your demonstration of how much easier it is to take apart and reassemble the Taurus has me leaning that way strongly.
ОтветитьHave to say, for people with small hands, It’s just amazing, this is the full size gun for you. The Grip feels wonderful in the hand. Much much better than a Glock 19. You get a lot of features that you don’t get on a Glock. It’s hard to describe, but even the safety as an option is nice. I like the idea for a home defense gun that it should have a safety on it. The thumb cut outs are useful for someone with small hands. They actually reduce the width and provided a better grip at the same time. It’s about 6/100th of inch thinner then Glock 19, but it’s design is night and day different. It’s actually comfortable to shoot and usable. Its weight makes it pleasant and a soft shooter. Very little recoil. Still much lighter than a 1911.
My thoughts on safety for the home gun are, it will be in the middle of the night, someone will be breaking in, and you will be half awake. Therefore, the risk of accidentally shooting yourself is a little bit higher, or at the very least having a negligent discharge. Hence, having a safety is a wonderful idea. The best part about it is, if you don’t want to use it, you don’t have to.
this gun should be part of everyone’s collection. Absolutely wonderful to shoot, reliable. The first shot is double action that is light and smooth through the entire pull, the next shot is single action that is very short. It does have a wall that is defined and a crisp break. Is it a 1911, no. However, it is better than 80% of striker fired pistols. The only thing better is a Canik or Walther. This should be on a must buy list, tons and tons of value.
Rugers are the worst big name guns
ОтветитьGreat video!!!
ОтветитьGot my g3c for 234 out the door, 2 clips. But clips was only 12's. Past that coated to help prevent rust ...very smooth ,good pistol for the price. Again, don't tell me you gotta pay more for better..this proves you're wrong ❤
ОтветитьGood video. I'm looking at both of these pistols for home defense and carry from time to time. I think I will go with the Taurus.
Thanks so much.
Regards from South Central Indiana. USA. The heartland !
Tim .
I have more budget guns than others. For me, the idea is quantity. They are all good guns regardless of all the negative reviews from professionals. As long as it hits the target it’s all good
ОтветитьI own a ruger sec 9 and a tarus g2c and both are very satisfactory,,,,the taurus is my EDC in warm weather,,,the sec 9 in the winter with looser heavyer clothes so it all works ouit, both nave been reliable and solid, so no contest in my own mind
ОтветитьI compared both pistols side-by-side and bought the Taurus G3. I own other guns in both brands. But the Taurus just had more of what I was looking for. Not to mention Tauruses lifetime warranty thank you for the video. Excellent as always.
ОтветитьYou can get 17 rd mags for the security 9 .
ОтветитьExcellent video
ОтветитьI own a Ruger Security 9 and a Taurus G3C and I love them both! I give a slight edge to the Ruger, though. It just has a slightly smoother, more refined feel to it than the Taurus, but that may just be because the G3C is a sub-compact. Everything feels a little tighter and it takes a little more effort to operate. I'd like to try the G3 some time and see for myself how it compares to the Security 9.
I got the G3C because I wanted something a little smaller to carry in the summer. Honestly, I don't think the slightly reduced size makes much of a difference for concealment, but that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! I really can't see myself carrying an LCPII or any of the micros compacts out there. I just can't warm up to a gun that I can't wrap all my fingers around.
Taurus finish looks a lot better
ОтветитьRuger saying the mag release is not reversable
Ответитьruger is prettier
ОтветитьPicked up a g3 without knowing anything about it because I was given a great deal on it and was looking for a 9.
I've been watching reviews and am very happy to see it is amazing gun.
Nice and thorough video, thank you.
Thanks for another great review.
